Here's another way to enter SW14. You don't have to mess with the camera. Not sure if it would be any faster during low% segemented run.

Secret World 20: Generator B

edit: I've checked around nearly the entire game now, I think this is the last of the new SWs I'll be finding for now. :P Bryyo came up empty unfortunately. Still though, I got the total number up to 20, not bad at all.

heh dropping the % to 20 and bringing the SW count to 20. nice work.

btw, could you test with that SW what happens if you enter the tower at norion?

He already has with Moon Jump, the cutscene plays again and you get sent back to the Olympus.
yeah lol. I'm probably going to make a video of wallcrawling to the elevator later.

hm i see. i missed that. at least it is now known what happens there.
Hah! The dual troopers guarding the AU chamber was probably the best part, especially when the second one was trying to bully his way into the first one's spot.

Kinda funny to see Samus in her late game suit when the cutscene at the top of the tower started.

Here's how to instant unmorph on top of the ship. Still not quite enough height to make it to the drone without SA.

Anywhere, everywhere
Ooh, maybe a 2bj bsj could make it! Then maybe a long jump can make it to the second one. Thanks for the video Parax. I've been having a lot of trouble wallcrawling in norion (and in corruption in general) for some reason.
That's because wallcrawling in Corruption completely sucks.

I've only been able to get the wing of the ship in morph ball mode. Once on the wing, Samus automatically rolls uncontrollably which makes 2bj next to impossible to pull off.

Looking at the video again, you might get a little higher on the drone if you jump a little earlier during its flight path. The second jump didn't seem like it reached full height in the video.

Yeah, I think an ssj could probably make it onto the drone if you do it at the right time. Awesome that it's definitely possible to get on the drone without SA tho. From there there's two possible ways out of bounds; we need to either get on the second drone, which is a huge amount of distance, or we need to jump to the left around the invisible wall, then stick to it and wait for the drone to come back, at which point you can try to get back on it. If you do then you're pretty much officially in the SW. Might mess around with this a bit more soon.

I'm thinking about what getting this secret world would mean. I think it would be an ice missile skip assuming the white door on the way to boost ball is only white on one side. You could use screw attack to get to the bryyo fire generator. I doubt hyper ball could be skipped because of the tunnel in phaaze. I also think that the only thing stopping a grapple swing skip would be getting back to Ghor after boost ball.

EDIT: Wait, is the chozo statue still in our way when coming back to the landing site after boost?

If you jump into the terminal fall you get respawned back outside the chozo statue.

I think this SW means hyper ball skip (I'm pretty sure there is a SW in the first room on phaaze if you don't have hyperball, since no hyper ball means SBSJs in hypermode) and very fucking close to hyper grapple skip (nothing stopping it other than the blob on the way back from returning the pirate code). It's not going to give us grapple swing skip because you need to go visit the aurora unit a hundred times and the only way to or from the aurora unit room is grapple swing.

There's other implications too but I can't think of everything right now... I wanna say there's more ice missile requirements than that one door but I can't think of any.

Very happy to see some actual discussion going. :P

edit: got on the drone without using SA. just gotta figure out what to do from there. Destroy the drone, then wait ~10.5 seconds and bomb jump on the ship, then do a rolling ssj over in the drone's direction. Try to land on the right of it. I'm pretty sure it's actually on the crate and not on the drone, which is a bit worse because you have less mobility (you fall off if you try to really do anything) and it's harder if it's possible to stop the drone when it gets to the invisible wall, but it'll have to do for now... maybe there's a way from the crate to the drone anyway (the drone moves faster than you do, so if you try to jump on then you'll probably end up losing it).

edit: I've had a few bizarre things happen on top of the drone while experimenting... :s Maybe it's possible to clip through the invisible wall? I wouldn't bet on it, but it seems like a possibility.

edit: got from the crate to the drone a few times now. kinda tricky, but it's entirely possible.

That would also mean that ship missiles are only used once, to open up the pirate homeworld seed. Someone needs to try that out without ship missiles to see if it works, since it's kind of like a landing site, so maybe you won't need the missiles? Who knows...

I thought of this, too, but I'm pretty sure one secret world in the boost ball area of skytown would stop this. This is all just an idea, so I don't know if it would even work.

Wallcrawl from Main Docking Bay to boost ball. Use the theoretical sw around there (doubtful we'd ever find one, but still) to wallcrawl to Ghor and plasma. Now, wallcrawl to the Spire, where the ship says it's ready for use, and wallcrawl BACK to Main Docking Bay. Fly to Bryyo, get Screw Attack, then wallcrawl to the Aurora Unit and get it back online. Then you could use the screw attack to get to the area leading to East Skytown (I'm pretty sure you can get from the spire to there with screw). From here, you'd never have to cross one of those long grapple ziplines again.

That'd be freakin' ridiculous, but also awesome. There'd probably be event triggers screwing up left and right, so I once again have no idea.

Quote from Paraxade:

Don't think so. In East Skytown, you can get ship grapple and seekers the normal any% way, then go back through the lower route after seekers, take the elevator up to Concourse, and do that bsj trick to get to the upper area and get the bomb part. The only ice door in pirate homeworld I can think of leads to the metroid hatcher, which is unnecessary.

I'm honestly wondering that too... I mean what if you don't have any ship missiles? I can't think of any way to replenish them in that room. So do you even need ship missiles? Something to be tested at some point I guess...

I don't think the ship will say it's ready for use until you've repaired the aurora unit so still not going to work. One idea is just wallcrawling straight from main docking bay to easy elysia to temporarily skip some of west elysia but I'm not sure exactly what that would entail or what it would involve... I'm basically thinking if you get boost and then you get the bomb components then you can go to the aurora unit, cure the phazon infection, then talk to the AU to set up Ghor in the landing site, then go to the spire and do the spire defense sequence, at which point you'll take the escape pod back over to landing site A, at which point we'd need to either hope that it'll let us call the ship in, or find a way into sw13 without having the ship there. Probably missing things but meh. Just throwing out ideas.
So what happened to all this?
Seriously, what the hell? It looked like Corruption's sequence was about to be ripped apart. Why did this just die?

i'd say too much trigger-dependant events killed this and that SW that is still undoable without SA.

The last few comments indicate that it is doable without SA. Am I misreading things?

Other events might be a problem, but it doesn't sound like that's even been tested yet.

I think with Prime tasing starting to pick up steam, the Main Docking Bay sw could be attempted without screw attack. Like you said, if that gets found, the sequence would indeed be ripped apart.
Uh, no, it's not doable without SA. Not even close. There's an absolutely ridiculous amount of distance between the first drone and second, and we only worked out how to get to the first one. Believe me, I have looked into this plenty, it's not like I dropped the idea out of laziness - I dropped the idea because I couldn't figure out a way to do it. :/
Oh, I see. Never mind, then.
