I'm using 1.8 because I don't want slowdown in my vids.  I'm not borging the run, but I am using savestates.  That may seem confusing of a statement, but hear me out.  I use one savestate per segment.  At the very end of the segment, I hit savestate right after I hit finish movie recording.  That way, I can pick up the next segment right in the exact spot I left off at.  Notice the videos that have been Divx'ed seem like it's a single-segment run just butchered into smaller parts for size?  That's how I wanted it.  After I finish this run, I'll probably go back and re-do it, not using savestates at all; using save stations as the start & finish points of each segment, like Sess did with his 1% run on the site.

And yeah, it's European version.  I was originally going to record the run in Italian (Only the European version has language options) because I'm half Italian and so I would've been a little "EEE!  A recording in Italian!!" but then I saw that Italian took up twice as much room to say something as English.  Therefore, the parts with Adam would take twice as long to go through.  So...  I went English.

I could've always gone and gotten a US version of the rom, but it took me long enough to find the European version, and it's not like I can ask for pointers in where to find a US version.  So I just went ahead and said fuck it and kept going with European.  There's no version differences besides the language choices, so I didn't see any reason to even really use the US version.  Besides the fact that US version is probably the version everbody has and that would've meant they could've watched the VMV/VMO files.

Did I also mention that I brought this run over to SCU?  http://www.samusforum.co.uk/viewtopic.php?t=8620  I'm keeping that thread a lot more up-to-date than this one.  Notice I've completed two more segments of the run and haven't said diddley-squat about it, since it seems no one over here cares.
I care!  I just kept forgetting to ask if there was any progress... Plus the fact that I can't watch VB movies.
Master Mills offered to Divx the rest of my run as I complete each segment.  All I have to do is supply him with the uncompressed .AVI files.  Which is where the problem is.  The uncompressed .AVI files are so freaking huge, there's no place I can put them for Master Mills to get them.  In short, I have no way to get them to him...  :?

As I said before, simply get me the same ROM, Emulator and .zmv +.zm0 files for me to run on my PC. A couple of megs for the lot in an e-mail versus a gig+ per .avi file. ;) :P

I'll then do the rest. :D
Since I finished the run, I'm posting this.

Quote from The SCU Fusion Morph Ball Run topic:
The run is exactly what the title implies.  A run through Fusion in Morph Ball mode.  Now of course, this is impossible to do 100% as Morph Ball, of course, so the main idea of the run is to stay in Morph Ball mode for as long as possible.  These are pretty much the guidelines for the run.

~I will stay in Morph Ball mode as long as possible.

~I will only come out of Morph Ball when I reach a point in the game I cannot pass as Morph Ball.

~If I do come out Morph Ball in a spot where it is possible to go through as Morph Ball, those seconds spent out of Morph Ball are considered "penalties."

~I will grab Core-X upgrades by jumping into them with the Jumpball, not by regularly jumping into them.

~All bosses will be fought standing up, because bosses don't take damage from Bombs/Power Bombs.  Nettori is the exception to this rule, however.  I won't have enough Power Bombs to beat him, therefore, I will remain in Morph Ball mode during the Nettori fight until I exhaust all my Power Bombs.

~If I must go through Speed Boost blocks, I will come out of Morph Ball at the minimum point to charge the Speed Booster.  FYI: I've documented all the "Minimum speed boost points" all the way up to the segment where you rescue Dachora and the Etecoons.

~If it can be killed by Bombs/Power Bombs, then do so!  FYI: I've documented how many Bombs it takes to kill every enemy in the game and which ones are invunerable to bombs.  I have not documented Power Bombs.  Yet...

~The biggest thing about this run that many seem disappointed in: this is not a speed run.  I'm pulling my hair out over this run as it is.  I don't need to have time as another nagging thing on my shoulders in this run.

I'd like to just say that this run contains many "interesting" parts to it, including a method for staying on Morph Ball mode and hitting a Blue X with a Bomb to freeze it.  Also things like Bomb Jumping an entire two blocks worth of height to Bomb a wall/ceiling normally out of reach.

The run is finished...  However, the recordings of the run have only been Divx'ed up to the fight with the Mega-X.  However, our very own WebMaster, Andrew Mills has offered to Divx the remainder of the recordings for me, as I lack the ability to do so.

That being said, I'd like to go ahead and provide direct links to the segments of the run that are Divx'ed.  Here we go.

If you want to see the next eight segments Divx'ed so you can watch them...  Then bug Master Mills. Wink

at one point i swear you had the vmo/vmu at scu

EDIT:Alpha Metroid
Isn't that.. Myspace's icon? :|
With just a little bit of editing. :D

P.J-  I did at one point, but then I sent them to Andrew Mills to be divx'd.  And since no one could play them as the were done on a Euro version rom, I decided if Millsy already them and no one could play them, then there wasn't much of a point at keeping them up.
I like Big Butts and I can not lie
i could play them, not that hard to find a euro rom
A Euro rom of Fusion does seem to be more popular these days than a US version, especially when you Google for your roms...  *Shrug*

If you really want them...

2 vmv's?
also try replacing O's with zero's
i think i'll try that on one of those vmv's
http://metroid2002.com/deathnoble/FusionMorphBallRun/18=Escapae.VM0
Fuck you.  It's fixed now.  :P

Looks like it still works with zeros.  Eh, who cares?  I'll be using the VBA from Bisqwit's from now on, as it only puts out VBM files.
I can't wait 'till the download is complete!
I'll see if you did the bomb-jumping correctly. :P
Is Millzy (or anyone else) planning on DivX'ing these vids? I don't run a GBA emu, and I'm dying to see some good morphball action.

I am indeed. But it's going to take a bit of time just now. But they WILL be done...

Didn't use it.  It only gained block of height, and with the Jumpball unmorph power grip, I was only out of Morph Ball for a second, or two at the most.  I did, in some sspots, use the bomb jump technique, but I didn't use four bombs one after another.  I got up with maybe three bombs total.  And all it was for was planting a bomb high up, not for getting over a ledge.  overall, it was pretty fun.  You know, I'm thinking about redoing the SA-X fight to look better.  How it came out?  It wasn't what I was hoping for.

Seg7.avi not very high quality though
There's nothing there; blank web page.
Awesome! You did the it exactly Like I did!
But, You could've made it through this point with Bomb-Jump, instead of gripping..

You exceeded your bandwith.  Bandwith is not how much you can store on SL (2 gigs) it's how many times people can download your files put there.  SL only gives you 100 MB bandwith.  Therefore, if people have downloaded 100 MB or more of what you have on SL, then no one can download anymore of your files there.  That's what happened to some of the files I was mirroring to put into the updates thread.

Shhhhhhhhhh!  Queit!  Rolling Eyes
I like Big Butts and I can not lie
yeah, but here's a 7.63mb it doesn't work either
http://mediamax.streamload.com/123baby/Hosted/Alternate+2.AVI
Bandwith adds up.  I.E.- you have 100 MB of bandwith.  Someone downloads a file of yours only 7.63 MB in size.

Code:
100- 7.63 = 92.37

Then someone else downloads that same file.  Your bandwith stays at where it ends.  Therefore after person 2 downloads, you get:

Code:
92.37 - 7.63 = 84.47

So it's at 84.47 the next time someone downloads another file.  So if that same exact file is downloaded thirteen times, you're stuck.  Your bandwith refreshes every thirty days from the day you activated your account via email confirmation (Or so they claim) so don't worry.  All it means is that people have fallen in love with your files a little bit too much.  Same thing happened to me, too in the updates thread.  I mean, I mirrored two videos and put them up there for Nate to download to watch & determine if they were site-worthy but!  One was only 2.46 MB and the other was only 4.6 MB in size.  Two days go by and my bandwith hits zero.

If you sign up for a premium account (And pay them money for it) then you don't have restrictions on bandwith.  So you can put links anywhere you want.

I'd like to note that was wrong about StreamLoad in a previous post, where I said you get 2 GB of storage space.  It is actually 10 GB of storage space.

but i put that link in the updates topic i just uploaded it, clicked on the link and it still said

how could someone download it 13 times that fast?
btw the seg 7 was 130mb i found :P
