I'm using 1.8 because I don't want slowdown in my vids. I'm not borging the run, but I am using savestates. That may seem confusing of a statement, but hear me out. I use one savestate per segment. At the very end of the segment, I hit savestate right after I hit finish movie recording. That way, I can pick up the next segment right in the exact spot I left off at. Notice the videos that have been Divx'ed seem like it's a single-segment run just butchered into smaller parts for size? That's how I wanted it. After I finish this run, I'll probably go back and re-do it, not using savestates at all; using save stations as the start & finish points of each segment, like Sess did with his 1% run on the site.
And yeah, it's European version. I was originally going to record the run in Italian (Only the European version has language options) because I'm half Italian and so I would've been a little "EEE! A recording in Italian!!" but then I saw that Italian took up twice as much room to say something as English. Therefore, the parts with Adam would take twice as long to go through. So... I went English.
I could've always gone and gotten a US version of the rom, but it took me long enough to find the European version, and it's not like I can ask for pointers in where to find a US version. So I just went ahead and said fuck it and kept going with European. There's no version differences besides the language choices, so I didn't see any reason to even really use the US version. Besides the fact that US version is probably the version everbody has and that would've meant they could've watched the VMV/VMO files.
Did I also mention that I brought this run over to SCU? http://www.samusforum.co.uk/viewtopic.php?t=8620 I'm keeping that thread a lot more up-to-date than this one. Notice I've completed two more segments of the run and haven't said diddley-squat about it, since it seems no one over here cares.
