Exactly. I'm trying to give you hints as to how to improve your own stuff without outright telling you how to do so, since finding the way to somewhere once someone has shown you the place is half the fun. :P Besides, in the last big pic you posted with the bolts and the black outsides, they were, believe it or not, almost perfect, but you missed a small detail to make them lose their black surroundings that would have made them totally perfect. As to what that detail is, well... that's for me to know and for you to find out. ;)
And in case anybody's wondering, yeah, I do am showing off a little. I mean, everyone's gotta have a little share of immodesty every now and then, no? :P
I'm assuming you're referring to the choppy-ness around my thumb, becuase that's the only problem I can see.
And one question:(though I doubt you'll tell me) What do you use for the original frame for the bolts? I've used blurred brushes and full-screen gradient.

Well see, many of our conversations can be boiled down into the following:
<SJB> omfg help! I flickerbatting broke something! <DZ (what he sees)> <?php include_once("./cutenews/show_news.php"); ?> <DZ (what I see)> <?php magic; ?> <SJB> Thanks! <DZ> Don't mention it! ^^
But that's the kind of showing off that I like. :P
Seth: To create my bolts, I only use the basic Clouds filter, and, depending on the effect I want to achieve (random thunderbolts or specifically directed bolts), the Difference Clouds or a Difference Mode Gradient, respectively. No brushes, no anything. This can be done with those three tools alone. ;)
Ehh, the lightning all over the body looks weird. And you can see the "outline" of it, if that makes any sense. Anyway, the lightning coming from your hands has been much improved over your previous efforts. Keep it up!
Really?! I can keep it up? You don't mind? I did the outline intentionally, though you're right, it dosn't look quite right. It was supposed to be sort of a shimmering aura kind of thing. :? I'll work on it.
The electricity running on the kid's left arm and on the blanket could use some work, IMO. Where the streaks touch his fingers looks a little ehh, but the actual lightning itself looks pretty good.
Ok, I'm getting sick of just making pure lightning pics, (Last one being "HeroMan!!'s" Picture in the "Post pictures of your self" topic, So here's a not-so-pure Lightning pic!
The lightning looks great. The 'saber is fairly well done, but the edges of it look too sharp; they should be blurred a bit more. Other than that, nice job. One of your best so far.
My specialty in photoshop is lightsabers, I actually know how to make them by heart. I dont think I can explain it. You make a 5 pixel or so thick line, then select it and use smooth at 5 pixels, then select invert, gaussian blur at 9 for a few times, then select invert, then color the selection white, blur at 1.5-2.5 to taste, then blur the whole thing 1-2 to taste.
