Honestly, it gets back to the basics of most MP bosses - learning the patterns.  The key thing for me was learning when he would not be moving after destroying a red ball, so you can get off enough quality hypermode phazon blasts to destroy the socket (without completely draining an energy tank).  It takes a number of times taking him on, just to learn the patterns, and how to conserve your energy.  You should have 5 energy tanks when you reach him.  I'm playing on veteran difficulty, so if you're doing normal difficulty that should help.  And yeah, the cut scene afterwards really rocks!!  whoa (@c.bags)

fyi - he's not a tough as Omega Pirate  8-)

I'm back after defeating him with took me half an hour but it wasn't difficult just tedious is all. Then i went to elysia and was killed by a steam lord, easy come easy go.  laugh new

he's easier by comparison on hyper.  by then you know the pattern, its just faster and more powerful.  and the steamlord is tricky if you arent great at no-lock aiming.  fire missles and fully charged shots at the bots while strafing, then when one dies, charge a shot and continue strafing until you see the lord.  release the charge without locking on and imeadiately follow rapid-fire.  dont use hyper, the lord knocks that out, you get maybe a single uncharged shot out if your lucky, then he wastes your energy tank.

Are you ever able to go back to the Bryyo Seed, after defeating mogenar?  I wanted to do more exterminating of those pill bugs!

you mean are there?  :?

There are a whole bunch of little bugs (that look like pill bugs) that are crawling all over the floor of the room you land your ship in, at the bryyo seed.  If you shoot all of them (takes a while) you get a message/voucher like you get when you get 100 kills, but it says "exterminator".

Ok i understand now. A pillbubg is that annoying rollie polly on steroids (spider guardian >_< ), i'm sure you can do that for the other seeds aswell. They all have them inside.

I remember this boss was hardest boss in the game my first playthrougt. Right now i have much experience. I just beat Veteran mode (low-%) Mogenar fight/segment in 5 minutes. And this took only 2-3 restarts beat this fast enought.

This boss is actually easy. That Paraxade good low-% method in youtube working very well against Mogenar.
I just scared Skyway acces and phaaze here. Both places must be hell on low-% run. We can see this.

when was he hard???  i beat him the way the nintendo guide said and it took me 5 minutes.  the methods here take just about the same time, but are much more fun.
