Someone only gives up something what he loves when he is dead or if he finds better things to love.
Surviving is worth loving, I'd say.

Worst case scenario, it's released as the ultimate replacement for SMILE, a complete Metroid kit.
Super Secret Area - Dead Ahead!
Looks great, as expected.  Also, I seemed to appreciate the music a lot more in that video - perhaps because it was a little longer.

Do you have any plans for an adaptation allowing TAS's to be created, as I have no doubt that a lot of players here would love to create one for it?

Ready to internet!
HOLY CRAP THAT VIDEO WAS AWESOME. I cannot wait to play this game! (should it see the light of dayy that is Very Happy)
Any idea on the Demo release?
Von, I am speechless.

You have made an absolutely beautiful game!  I love the animations and the idea of a level editor with the release definitely interests me!

I have but one, and ONLY one critique on this beauty of a game!  Everything else I have seen is PERFECT:

The art styles do not match from area to area.  one part looks like beefed up SNES graphics, another looks like an absolutely stunning hand painted ice cavern/tropical jungle.  I realize the game is far from done.  but in the end I hope to see these environments look more like the amazing ice cavern, and underwater sections from that screen shot you posted.  STUNNING!

Breathe in the Future, Breathe out the Past
I watched that a minute after waking up. I'll have to pinch myself to make sure I'm really awake.
Absolutely unreal.  I have very little to add to the comments already made.

"Projectleaderguy."  Very straightforward and simple.  Nice.
Bananas GOOD, Kremlings BAD
One word: "Wow".
Mister ...
Everything I want to say has already been said.  I am truly in awe.

Really don't see that happening, as part of the love for super metroid isn't *just* that that game kicks ass but *also* that it's the "real deal".  Don't get me wrong, I absolutely love how SR388 is looking so far and am very eager to be able to see it with my own eyes.  I especially am in awe at the splash effects when samus drops into the water (think I'm going to implement slower projectiles in the water due to watching your underwater missiles).  Still though, there'll always a bit of nostalgia working with the original hardware/coding.

Probably because youtube puts most vids in stereo now, while the original trailer was changed to mono (by youtube) when uploaded.

I wouldn't know how to do that since it's not a rom. I guess you would have to run it in a Windows emulator to TAS it. I'm not personally interested in TAS for a new fangame, it's just not at all interesting like messing with old 8 and 16 bit games is.

This is a remix of an old trailer with old footage, so all kinds of temporary graphics are in there. There was no effort made to match anything in this video.

Well obviously it wouldn't be hacking. What I mean is a complete kit for games with all upgrades and all enemies from all the 2D games (obviously in that case full rips of SM gfx would be added etc). Some people just want to use SMILE to make cool levels and do not care about the hacking aspect.
