but that's not the way to do it, that would be stupid. If you're gonna segment the run then you should go all out and optimize the entire thing, not just the beginning. The Frigate is not special.

t3 the point is that the ship save is free, and afaik none of the other save stations are. that's why you would want to do 2 segments vs 10 segments

they aren't free, but the time you save by being able to redo segments and optimize the run better is more than the time it costs to go to the save station.

And no, people doing ss runs has nothing to do with segmented runs not being fast. Miles's old segmented run from way back was shooting for 0:52 ish which is a good two minutes faster than t3's SS record. Who knows if that target time would be even lower if he picked it back up now with new strats.

The reason very few people do segmented is because of the patience required to make them.

Another part of the problem is that segmented requires more patience in some ways. The expectations are higher for a good segment than a good single segment.
