This is WHY we clean discs. Twisted Evil
He could have gotten a huge scratch on it or something.
I just opened it. I had completed Woodfal in a day and a half so I decided to do some of Snowhead in the remaining 36 hours I had.
Yeah, and none of my discs have scratches either. I'm having to send away for a factory repair, which will cost around $70. Ouch.
I'm just glad I have carts for OoT and MM.
Ihate it when I let my friends borrow a game, they smudge it up and scratch it a lot.  When I say this, I'm refering to 1 in peticular.

Let it be such that all optical media is like MDs, i.e. in a case so it can't get scratched.

Anyway, I, even though I had Wind Waker and MP with their bonuses, played Metroid Classic and OoT on a ROM, because it is nicer and I can't use my GCN all the time. Also, I think I used t3h sh4rk too much. For although the CodeBreaker and AR are more powerful than even the token Last Boss Überwaffe, they are always overused precisely to get the aforementioned Überwaffe. Or was it OoT on which I didn't use cheats? And, can you put GCN discs into a PC drive for making backups?

If Collector's disc is free, does that mean the games on it are freeware so I can legally have ROMs of them? I mean, I completed MM on a ROM, and it never crashed for me, even though I might... have sharked it just a little...

And, I don't get my discs dirty or damaged in the first place. I treat my discs well, so they will last a long time.

I await a flame for the use of ROMs. <uses the Varia to be invulnerable to flame> <steals Red Mail from CT for extra power> <gets flamed by anti-ROM spammers>
Skreemaster absorbed 22237 damage.
Skreemaster renounced his ROMness.
Skreemaster was feinting!

Nice try, but it was free with the purchase of a Gamecube. By that logic, batteries are free because you get two with the purchase of a GBA.

But I have a Gamecube... which I bought. I didn't get that disc with it. I got the OoT disc with WW, but no Collectors Disc. Also, when I bought my GBA second-hand I got no batteries. I got lots of other stuff like three link cables, and a PAR device, but no batteries.

Edit: joy, i'm finally a metroid prime.

But i still hate you and your STEALING ways.
But, more importantly, I absolutely hate your lack of logic.

Just testing...
I actually used no ROMs other than those which I am legally allowed to use (OoT and Metroid:Classic). But then they crashed, so I used the ports which I own on GCN. Most games I just borrow from friends for extended periods of time (like 3 years) until they become old and wouldn't have been played. Then I get given them by aforementioned friends. :D
Nooo!

Stop this! Now! How could this dreadful thing happen to me! I am no longer a skree but an alpha metroid <changes avatar>.

Oh of course, of course...

If you still read it, Andrew Mills, the owner of Samus.co.uk, is something like 8th on ITB.  At least I think it's him, unless there's another Andrew Mills in Dundee...

Um, yeah, even if you don't have to pay for something, that doesn't mean it's freeware.  Even if it's just like a subscriber's bonus with a magazine or something, it's still not freeware because everyone can't just go grab one.  You have to, in some indirect way, give money to the people who gave it to you to get it, so...not freeware.

I personally think that the use of ROMs and emulators shows massive disrespect to the makers of games.  If you like a game enough to play it, and then don't do the courtey of paying the people who made it,  that's a major, major diss to them and the game.

I agree. Finding and owning classic games that people have on ROMS is way more fun any way. Keyboards are not fun with SNES games.

Forget what I said earlier. My Bonus disc froze while I was on my way to Snowhead. I never went back in time to save after doing all of Woodfall.

Oh, that sucks.  That bonus disc is one of Nintendo's finest ideas and certainly a major plus to owning a Gamecube.  I absolutely cherish my copy of that beloved disc.

Hi there, Guest.  You sound a lot like me.  I wonder if that's because I didn't realize that I hadn't logged in a second ago...
