Metroid Prime 3 Survey

for all those of you who have an account at Nintendo.com and registered Metroid Prime 3 youĺl notice that they recently sent out a survey to your email address.

for those of you who have the game but are not registered I would encourage you to do so and to take the survey, one of the questions is "would you purchase a sequel"

you can also give other input about what you thought of the game, the packaging, the advertising etc.

I received this mail from Nintendo of Europe where I live, and having answered the questions, I got 50 VIP stars. However, there was no a question about the sequel. I wonder why in European MP3 survey thet excluded the question.

They sent it to me as well, but whenever I try and use the link it comes up with a login screen and an error about how I can't log in. :(

Yes i know that, i'm saying maybe japan sent them to america and not europe because america is one of the first to get this game. Europe gets games and what not like a month after the USA. I know what an email is. laugh new

Aw I really liked Metroid Prime's style. I'd rather see a new 3d Metroid but with some of the style in tact (first person adventure mostly).

Right now that is the only direction I can see Metroid going on the consoles. Handhelds are a different market.

i guess it's time for something new. retro can't repeat the mp1 miracle.

3rd person Metroid on console is what i would like to see. they would need to change enough things that would make it feel different from the prime series.

but it won't be anytime soon since retro will be doing an original game now. even they were tired of prime. imo they should give 3d games some rest until the next one just like how 2D metroid has been resting since 2004.

Am I the only one who found the advertising for Prime 3 rather disappointing? Sure they had that week for Metroid thing going on for the VC, but that only affected the people who took the time to download the MP3 channel. I think what this game really needed was a TV commercial that accurately portrayed the tone of the game.

If there was a TV commercial, I never saw it, but I'm willing to bet it involved two asian gentlemen driving to a family's house and giving them the game. This was accompanied then by the entire family sitting infront of the screen playing the game to the beat of some eldritch music. The two asians in suits then bowed and drove away to an uncertain future (delivering Super Mario Galaxy just like they did for every other Nintendo game). Call it Gamer's intuition.

I really think Nintendo needs to step it up in the advertising department. Because they seem to either underestimate the power of advertisement or ignore it. The only reason I bought Red Steel was because the commercial convinced (more like conned) me into buying it. And just look at a game like Gears of War, sure it was a good game by itself, but all people could talk about where I come from was how great the commercial for it was, even people who don't play video games.

Well I guess that's it for my off topic rant. I guess in an attempt to tie this in with the topic somewhat I'll try and give Nintendo my input on MP3's advertisement. I'd encourage anyone else who feels similar to do the same.

Corruption was indeed advertised by those Asian gentlemen. The family was shown playing it and other games iirc, but sometimes they'd highlight Corruption by the end with its own screen.

I've seen them in a house, though, too. Like I said, it wasn't a commerical just for Corruption; it was more like a "hey get a Wii, and here are some games you can play" type of deal.

It is awesome, but horribly overused. Nintendo needs more variety in their ads. For example, the recent mario and sonic olympics ads have been awesome, even though the game sucks. But that's sega, not nintendo.
