metroid: other m has been announced! yeaaahhh [locked]

Don't remember if I've said it here yet or not but, I really don't care if they add more story to the Metroid universe. I mean, sure, traditionally it's not been heavily story influenced but there's this vast futuristic universe in the series that we get hints about in the game but never get to explore very much. This game looks like it will be doing that to an extent and I'm really excited to learn more about my favorite series' world.

Several screen shots ^there. Edit: Looks like Sylux is in the 7th pic. Samus is throwing down. Razz

Whoever it is - it is someone in a suit like Samus. If you stop the video at the right time you can see a blue suit and helmet and a pink(ish) visor. But he/it has these red bug-like wings.

This doesn't even seem like Metroid to me, I really doubt I will like this game. But who knows.

Honestly, the name just sounds stupid to me, seems as if they put very little to no thought into it. It might have something to do with the in-game story though.

As long as it doesn't take 50 shots to kill everything in this game like it did in the Prime series. >_>

I sort've hope this is a remake of all the different games in one. It is possible, since we see Mother Brain blowing up the baby/super metroid, but as suggested it could just be a series of flashbacks. Only time will tell.

Just like we thought Wii was temporary.

I have a feeling it's the actual title. Unless Nintendo truly is pulling a reverse-Revolution and the title will be something kickass.

The thing is though, we don't know when Malkovich died. It could be before Metroid 1, it could be right before Fusion. So really, it can go anywhere between then.

few details:
-(as said) ending of Super Metroid reproduced here
-Adam malkovich ("any objections, lady?"), at least it has to be before fusion.
-samus seems to be running faaaast through the ice level(shinespark?)
-who is the second girl? samus' rival? great awesome exciting multiplayer? lol

Could all be flashbacky, but that Varia... not sure if it's that or a pre-ZM Power Suit. Shoulders are kinda bulky for that.

So, what're the chances of Fusion Suit slippin' in there (or maybe all of 'em over the series)?

Sure it's too early to fully know what will be going on in the story and all but that doesn't stop us from trying to guess or theorize. So yeah, let's get some trailer analysis going.
