And in this link, we can see Bryyo and the Metroid Multiplayer Logo.

...?  It looks more like a PC game from the looks of it, but I'm not sure if it's real.

Un joli petit fake ou un petit projet abandonné :)
Y a pas de quoi se tracasser a propos de ca tant que ca ressemble a rien et que c'est pas officiel.

I don't know exactly what this means, but I assume it says something like
"This is a fake one, a game somebody made but abandoned.  Would it be legal? . . . It doesn't look like it's official."

Well, it looks cool, at any rate.

EDIT:

Hmm...

Maybe something to the effect of
"You said it seems like a fake, and I don't think Nintendo would make something for the PC.
It might be a fan-game, it's an idea...
Anyway, if it was an abandoned project, some of the graphics . . . for the PS3..."

Don't take this as fact, we'll have to wait for someone to translate.
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
According to an online translator...

A pretty baby fake or a small abandoned plan
Has there not of what to worry has purpose of ca as long as ca resemble has nothing and that it is not official.

It must be a fan Game, no idea...
Besides, I do not think that it is an abandoned plan, seen that styles of drawing appear a bit of those of PS3...

But yeah, from the looks of it, I wouldn't mind playing something like that.
Eh, I was close.  Well, it looks like it's getting some attention over there, though I don't know what they're saying.

How can someone say it looks good to be playable for multiplayer?
I don't really see anything than a trivial designed piece of map.
There is not only one significant point which allows you to start a discussion about metroid-multiplayer qualities.
You could samewise take a piece of any picture and start senseless threads about it.

I haven't played Prime 3, but people said something about Bryyo in that picture.
I don't think it has enough screen shot for us to get excited. I mean, where's the game play? All I see is the logo and the map.

Looks like the project's dead. Not going to close the thread in case something comes up, but please refrain from posting unless you know something about the project here.

You`re right. There have been lot other projects in the past that never come to beta or even alpha status.
Anyone remembers this?
Bangaa Bishop
it looks to me like it's meant to be a mod to some game like UT or quake or w/e.

It was intended to become a total conversion of Quake II to Metroid II.
Last News: 1998, which means it`s dead.

It's not Dead, I think that Arkanix makes this game because he's knows a lot about Metroid Multiplayer...
For example he knows a lot about the places, the charracters, ....

Thanks, horscht. That clears that up.

If this project revives, feel free to let us know. No more speculation, though, please.
There are new pics of this project.
It isn't dead

The project continues, the introduction world and the first world are finished.
In this game there are 3 worlds: Phregis, Oormine III, and Asahi.
I still don't see any game play, is there a video of this?

There's no gameplay because we are working on the interface of the game.
We are still working on this project. But now, we are searching someone to help us to make this game, on modeling, on the musics, artworks, etc...
All informations about Metroid Multiplayer are here:

And if you can't help us, please tell this project to your friends, forums, etc
Thanks =)
Would kind of help if you did an English version of the page. And maybe host the project somewhere else, Google Code, Sourceforge or maybe on a website of its own.

It would help if you could present some gameplay-elements in motion. I am interested to know what is your motivation to do it, and why in 3D. I wouldnt mind if you explain the gameplay idea in some detail, thanks:)

A video of Metroid Multiplayer =)
Not impossible
just highly unlikely
Hate to break it to you, but Nintendo's track record puts odds on you guys getting a cease and desist if this makes any kind of progress.

Also, those stages don't really seem Metroidy to me. This is kinda looking to be just a standard FPS with Samus injected into it. Which I guess bodes well for when you do get that C&D, you can change it into something original pretty easy.

Green-Kirby, ROAR!
To be fair, much of what you see in metroid prime 3 is not very metroidy either. :p
