I wanted an all encompassing Metroid experience.  There are sounds from all of the 2d games.  I know it's a bit inconsistent, but i have a soft spot for the classic experience.

I'm all for classic soundbits and stuff like that in homebrew games. You should however not use it for an action that will be repeated several thousand times over the course of the game, save stuff like that for boss intros, key item pickups and other big events.

edit: Only played until the morphball but I love the physics and the morphball change took all of two seconds to get used to. Could have used a few more video modes than micro-window or fullscreen though and options for audio on/off, I have if you are limited by MM Fusion on that though.

Thanks for playing man.

Which sounds in particular are problematic for you?  There really aren't any "Boss Intros."  There's BARELY even a story, just the necessary stuff to make it Metroid-ish.

Yeah. I wish i could do more with the video modes...i just don't have the option.
It's just the jumping sound so far, it's so out of place and you hear it again and again and again.

I didn't mean only boss intros etc for classic tunes or sounds - put it in memorable rooms/intros to new areas/elevators and stuff like that. There's a reason like half the people who played super metroid thinks the red brinstar music is called the maridia music, you only  really notice it when running through the three noob-tube rooms.
Perhaps i will remove the jump sound.  I'll send out an email to the list and see what everyone thinks.

Speaking of which.  I know there's at least a few people playing this.  Wondering if you could all email me, so i can put you on the mailing list and keep you updated.  Also, anyone on the mailing list will be credited as a tester in the game's ending credits.

jacobxscum@pksmetal.com  Make sure you put "Metroid" in the subject so i don't think it's spam.
HUGE BUG Discovered, people.

It made it impossible to beat Episode 1.  It's been fixed.  Redownload and replace the exe file in your current folder with the one from the new folder.

Sorry...but that's what testing is i suppose.

And...don't forget to shoot me an email with "Metroid" in the subject.  It's a lot easier to inform you of necessary tidbits that way.
