Nice! Don't take too much time off your you-tube videos, though. I'm still addicted (gettit?) to Mr Hotdog head!
Anyway, VR, what is on track? How long before we, the unhelpful masses get our VR fix? I mean, new ME videos, and maybe the holy grail of fan gaming, the first demo?

Nice! That looks so sweet I could eat it! I'll just have to sit there drooling for now.
Those animations are really smooth, they look incredible, but won't the legnth interfere with the gamplay? If, for example, you are aiming left-up, and see an enemy right down, will you be able to shoot quickly?
Or is it like my transitions, where they're just graphics, and have no basis on anything?

I needent have worried, should I, VR?
Those reach beyond awsomness, but could be annoying if samus takes a whole second to turn. But that would make SM>ME, which, ATM, isn't looking true :-)

Hell yes!
Will it be super smooth?
Will it have mr Hotdog head on a loop in the background?
I can't wait.
Actually. I'm going to listen to it now.

for the uninitiated.

BTW: Are you German?

wow. I like it. you are talented a visual/special effects.

I hav't played any Metroid game earlier than Metroid Prime, but I dare say, This Met. Engine you got here, is pretty darn good stuff.  I thinking there hasnt been a metroid game on 2d that has samus going into an organic-H2O-like liquid, or has there.  but their has been other liquids such as acid of coarse.

Lol wut. Crateria, Maridia, AQA ringing any bells.
TBH, it looks like she's running backwards.  Also, quite frankly, the aim animations look like they might come paired with a lack of control.

RE: ICheatAtGolf:

Please note text in video: "Slowed for visibility in video". Rolling Eyes

Here is a little experiment you can try. Make something animate at 60fps. Record at 15fps via capture program. Change to 30fps for youtube. Upload. Shocked

PS, control is as fast or faster than SM, frame-per-frame.

PPS, people have mistaken assumptions about animation in games. The "animation Vs. Control" thing comes up all the time but it's inaccurate. Think about 60 visual updates per second and how much you can fit in. Look at 16-bit games and count how many frames they hold 1 sprite for. Think about programming. What law is there that says control has to be locked out for an entire animation sequence? What law is there that animation speed has to be locked in stone, rather than change contextually to match player input?

Just some things to think about.

Thanks for watching.
Hey guy's

I suppose I should introduce myself first, I am Synthetic brain, live in The Netherlands and like writing story's for games and sometimes make games myself. Although I don't know any useful scripting languages, I am very familiar with GML (game maker language).

Now to the question, you all talk about THE cool metroid engine from "Von Richer" but, uuh I am a bit new to this forum, how do i try this engine???

Greetings,

Synthetic Brain,

PS: sorry for the poor English XD
Super Secret Area - Dead Ahead!
Wow.  A three-year bump.  As for the engine:  It hasn't been finished, and progress has been non-existent for some time.  That's not to say it's necessarily dead, but nobody has heard anything for ages.
