Metroid Exp: Exploration - Great, Skills - Decent

I was only able to get two e tanks, 30 missles, long beam, wave beam, charge beam, morph ball, bombs. You cannot get into Norfair or Kraid's Hideout yet as he has blockers in place (Kraids path is blocked by SM/SB blocks and Norfairs elevator has a barrier on top of it). There is also an open path to the area where the Varia is located in the original, but I have yet to be able to IBJ with enough skill to get there.

I'm surprised. Even a braindead monkey, such as myself, is able to ibj in this game by just mashing b.

Well, I can IBJ. Just not with enough reliability if there's a penalty for missing (such as early varia's acid or the escape timer).

You can infinite bomb jump in Zero Mission by mashing B too. Before I mastered timing, that's what I did for distances straight up. I can't do it in early Varia suit either. That's why I waited until after I got the power grip to get the Varia suit. That way, it'll still make the Kraid Worm boss alot easier.

No, god please no IPS file, I have absolutly no diea how to patch files, I have ,unar IPS, but please, can someone explain me (detailed and by steps) how to patch a friggin IPS file into a rom?

  • Open Lunar IPS
  • Click "Apply IPS Patch"
  • Select the IPS file (the hack)
  • Select the ROM (a copy of Metroid Zero Mission)[/list:o]

    After that you can play Metroid Disturbance

    I've gotten the charge beam and the Varia... but both Kraid and Ridley's areas are blocked off... so I don't know where to go from here. Nice hack though.

    The IPS is not working for me, I already made the "metroidZM.ips" file, but when I try to play it an error message pops up....

    It says in the original thread that is linked to at the top that access is very limited right now, as it is only a beta

    • is that link supposed to link me to a download? there's no link, and the person who asked you how to use ips files had the same question i did.

    i cant get it, can someone give me a link to the ips? the "unclickable link"s dont work

    Infinite bomb jump in Zero Mission is really peace of cake, there's no other Metroid game I've played that has such an easy way to IBJ. DBJ in super metroid or HBJ in ZM, there's something that already takes some skill.

    Even the HBJ isn't too bad, it's just that you have to consider a rhythm of pressing both buttons (left and fire) instead of just the bomb button. It's harder than SM's IBJ, but easier than SM's DBJ.
