Hello one and all, here's the deal.  I was gonna make this comic, see.  So I wanted Samus to be yon protaganist.  She called in sick.  Using my bigger than yours brain, I teleported Kraid out of his lair and brainwashed him into thinking he was Samus and Samus was Kraid.  So Samus is in Kraid's place, but Kraid is Samus, so Kraid is in Samus's place.  Anyway, my teleportation doohickey frazzled all the items, so I put in replacements for 'em.  Unfortunately, they didn't land in the right place.  So after a fruitless search for stunt doubles, Kraid "agreed" to do all the stunts himself, and I'm rambling, so I'd better shut up now and post the comic.

EDIT: The pictures are too big to fit in the post, so click on the thingy below it and open it.
EDIT (again): Nevermind the above edit.  There's a scrollbar at the bottom.

Your explanation is a lot better than your comics.
That was not superb.

Try to make up some great gag and then formulate it into a comic. Try not to use sprites anyway.

I'm not quite sure what you mean.

Dude, it's a sprite comic. That's the whole point.
One shall stand, one shall ball.
The thing with sprite comics is that the writing has to be pretty damn good to make the comic worthwhile as the art isn't going to be what keeps people coming back, that isn't really the case with this one, unfortunately.

Here's the latest, starring everybody's least favorite character, Kraid!

not the best stuff i've read recently. but it's probably due to my having read two different Metroid 1 style comics, both of which usually have me in stitches. one's maru mari, the other's planet zebeth. it's okay, but the spray effect is not to be abused. and have text bubbles. lines leading to text without a border around them normally indicate quiet lines or sound effects.
Imo, the "My spleen!" is way overused and not funny.

In other words, "a classic".
A classic that's not funny to me, then.

Stuffs. Yar.
Well, the comics do seem to be improving... the only thing that bugs me is the fact that everything was taken from the Zero Mission version of Metroid... except for Kraid. (And, for the record, replacing everything else with the NES sprites'd look nicer than replacing Kraid with the ZM-M1 version, IMHO).

Just keep practicing, and you'll get better. Try (re)reading other sprite comics, and seeing how the authors put them together... just don't blatantly steal anything from them. :P

EDIT: Although you did spell "Sammich" wrong... :P

I think he meant not to use the sprites as the jokes too often.

Nothing was taken from ZM so far *hint hint*.  It's all original Metroid.
EDIT: Now I see what you mean, and yeah, but the ZM version of Kraid sucks even more than most.  Who even pays attention to that stuff, anyway?

Looks like you better study up yourself. There's no reason not to have the correct dates in your post when you have Wikipedia and other sources. In fact, all your dates are wrong except those for Fusion, Pinball, Hunters, and Corruption.
lol, like how the site is named metroid2002 and that the main game on the site is metroid prime (and fusion, so at least you got that part right!).

@Gu3st: ... Did you actually read what I wrote?

Quote from me:
Zero Mission version of Metroid

I'm well aware of the order in which games were released, thank you very much. My point was that, when you play the original metroid on MZM, the sprites are all squished, due to the GBA's smaller resolution. Please try to actually read and understand my posts before pointing out nonexistent flaws.

Well, people like me, for one. :P
I've been meaning to get Metroid for a while, but I haven't, so I'm using this right now.
Mister ...
Good luck finding a copy of the original Metroid anywhere. I've checked local game shops and they all say that it's extremely hard to find.  I don't check e-Bay, but I'm sure there's quite a few copies on there for sale.  Unless you mean you plan on getting back into Metroid.

And the only real issue I've seen with the NES Metroid on Zero Mission is that everything looks a bit blurred/fuzzy. But nothing too serious.  As long as the game is playable, then it's all I care about.
