First i want to thanks everybody involved in make fan games of SM. I dont want to bother anyone and i know this topic its old and all but; PLEASE, i know someone here would have at least a bit of information about the project. Im not pushin the creators of Aegis or anything, its just all topics of this game are closed cos some guys get out of place, but has been about a year since a single word of the projet status, not even a little comment to know if this still going.

I would highly apreciate ANY update, at least if its only "this is still in developing"


Hopefully some moderator closer to the creators of Aegis would had a word to spread...  (and probably close the thread eventually, i think.)


Thanks again, and keep up SM Fear and SM Sigma ++ too!

The last Acheron said was that he was busy with real life stuff, but that it was still being worked on.  It'll be released when it's finished, and there's currently no time scale for that.

thanks for the answer. anyway, is intrigin why sooo top secret this has turned, nobody want to share anything, why? it is a game! its mean to be played by the people.. well, i supose i had to keep the frustrated waiting for this, like a zombie suffering eternal lack of info until release, then i could see the light and live again. =)

In fairness, none of the hype is down to Acheron.  If you check the posts that he actually made, as opposed to others bigging it up, they're relatively few, and far between.

Perhaps, but others might not have bigged it up if so much video, screenshots, and progress updates had been shared so regularly in the beginning.  When I say that I wish there had not been so mych hype, regardless of whether it's due to Acheron or others' posts, I say it because they made me so excited about the game, which in turn made me so disappointed when it all seemed to stop.  I'm not intent upon pointing any blame or fault at anyone, just expressing my sadness about it.

There are no pictures for this thread.  It's not Aegis's thread.  It's just a thread for the people who were asking about the hack, since Aegis's hack thread was locked because people kept asking about it...

Just thinking about it gives me a headache.

I've heard people called lots of things before, but I've never heard of anybody being called a 'dick end of story'.  Can you enlighten us as to what a 'dick end of story' is?  It sounds a little like 'Dickensian'.

It was none other than Sigmund Freud who coined the term. He was talking about how Charles Dickens would release his stories episode by episode. A popular activity at the time was for people to endlessly speculate about what would happen to the characters in the story before the next episode would be released by Dickens. Freud suggested that it would be more sane to just shut up and wait for the next episode, as if each episode is self-contained, with a "dick-end" as you will.
So consider this the end of the story until the next update.

Would that be a hack of Super with Zero Mission graphics/physics?  A hack of Zero Mission with Super graphics/physics?  Some other unmentioned combination of elements from Super and Zero Mission?  Something entirely unrelated to either?

Super Secret Area - Dead Ahead!
A hack for Super using Zero Mission Tilesets.  From what I could make out from Google's translation, it's actually a remake, with a similar map and everything.  You can find a link to the website at MetConst.  From what I've played so far, it's very well made, including things like stealth areas (to a degree) and shinespark chains.

That's interesting.  How much of the physics have been changed?  At least the Shinespark mechanics, because I don't think it was possible to chain them together in Super...?
