Metroids are annoying in 15% Hard.  Especially in the second-to-last 'troid area, where you've got cheerios coming at you and platforms keeping you from moving well.  Add the Metroids' quick movement and low freeze time, and you've gotta keep the buggers off you or game over.  It makes me frustrated, that it does...  That I have Screw Attack and High Jump during this part isn't much help, either.  I'm banking that Mother Brain and the Chozodia bosses (maybe not the Chozo thing) will also benefit, but...  Damn, I suck at these sorts of things.

15% hard is pretty easy. But 9% hard metroids are so annoying. Still much easier than zebetite part. :)

If you don,t try speed, you can save your game back after hard metroid room. This make Tourian so much easier to beat. Wink

I do, I do, but I screw up in the room and get swamped, then I can't get out of Morph Ball and freeze them before they latch on again... It is a strain on this poor gamer's sanity ("poor gamer" as in "poor at gaming").

Have you tried luring them to you only a couple at a time? Try to be constantly freezing them, and make sure you definitely have a clear shot before shooting a missile. The rinkas can sometimes get tough to keep track of, but it's a bit easier if you don't rush it.
Something i noticed while playing 9%normal/10%hard is that, depending on how "Strong" your beam is is how long the metroids last frozen, i could be wrong though

I haven't noticed anything like that. Then again I don't exactly understand your meaning of "strong." You mean like if you shoot a metroid at point blank as opposed to half a screen's length? Minimalist runs only have ice cream activated at that point, so I don't think you meant that.
I mean strong like, we know that Power + Ice + Wave +Plasma > Power + Ice + Wave > Power + Ice

So i noticed metroids lasting longer frozen with the 2nd combo than with the 3rd one

I... do try to lure them one at a time.  One one attempt, the second or third one in that room just got on me, and I couldn't get away quick enough for my slow reaction speeds.  Then there's the whole I-suck-at-small-platforms thing that causes me to get swamped by the bastards in the lower area of that room.  Oh, and the whole missiles-are-thinner-than-beam-shots deal, though that's more annoyance than deathseeking (reference? I think so).
