I found this one years ago. I don't see it on here so I'll post it, along with a map I made for it. The map probably isn't perfect, but it'll do for anyone that needs it.

The is one area I know of that you can get permastuck. Just don't go in anywhere that you know you can't get out of yet.

It's in Norfair, fairly early on

Yeah, glad you did that -- we don't actually allow posting ROMs here, hacked or not.

I'm happy to see another M1 hack get a thread. There are a lot of them around, and since I liked Metroid X so much, I've been meaning to take a little time and try out the others. This'll be first on the list.

Yeah, it wasn't a ROM that I posted originally. Whomever made this hack released it as an IPS patch that was embedded in a .exe that doesn't require the use of Lunar Magic. I just looked at the file in the readme and it says something about releasing it with a patcher program was for convenience. And apparently it's also a beta? That would explain that one permastuck spot. So... there is a possibility that there is an updated version out there. I'm attaching the readme for anyone that is curious, and it came with a weird .map file. Nothing I have can open it.

I have a few other M1 hacks I found years ago but, I'm not sure about the quality of them though. I'll give them a playthrough when I get a chance, if they're worth even trying, I'll put up the patches.

I think I may have this... I'll have to wait till I get home and see. Because I'm sure I've beaten this... The reason I think that is because I seem to remember thinking it was a shame that I beat a hack of Metroid before I beat the original.
