Could someone tell me what the lowest percentages are for each game? Thanks.
Thread title:
Not impossible
just highly unlikely
Super Metroid - 14%
Metroid Prime - 22%
Metroid Fusion - 1%
Metroid Zero Mission - 9% Easy/Normal, 10% Hard

Metroids 1 and 2 don't calculate the percentages, so I don't know what to tell you there.
Er...what's the extra item needed for 10% hard?
Not impossible
just highly unlikely
A missile, a super missile, or screw attack.
Ah, ok, thanks. I wanted to make a Metroid quiz kinda like Who Wants To Be A Millionaire? That was gonna be one of the questions. Actually...that brings me to another thing I wanted to ask. Is it ok to post a quiz on the board? I know another board I was on such as this it wasn't allowed, and another you had to ask a moderator? I might wanna try making a quiz, I find them...fun...
Not impossible
just highly unlikely
I see no problem with that.
Sounds better than that stupid picture contest thing.
The minimum for metroid 2 is 3 items: ice beam, bombs and one tank.
The min for nes metroid is theoretically 5 items: morph, bombs, ice, and two missiles.  However you basically would have to win the lottery in order to ALWAYS get a missile refill from a metroid in tourian after you start to fight mother brain and actually acheive this.  The reason is you'd shoot 5 into the brain, then go back one room and kill a metroid with your other 5 missiles.  Then repeat.  But as soon as you get an energy refill you're screwed.  You have to leave tourian to get more missiles and that resets the brain's health.  The easy solution is to defeat either kraid or ridley for an additional 75 missiles ... but do you count that as an "item" and therefore it's not the minimum, or not ?
Quote from Toozin:
A missile, a super missile, or screw attack.

Why is that needed?
always move fast
in chozodia, there is a spot that requires three missiles (or the screw attack). Since the hard mode missiles upgrades only give you two....you need another.
I'm guessing there's no Missile Refils in that room, right?
Not impossible
just highly unlikely
The only things that drop items in all of Chozodia are those electro ball zapper thingies, and there are none accesable at that point.
Cook of the Sea
Please note that in Metroid Fusion Upgrades like Suits and Beams do not count toward the game-generated percentage numbers, and in Zero Mission they do.  I don't know about Prime.  Also, Toozin, is that required MTank/ETank/Screw Attack in Zero Mission Hard mode because of

the passages after you get the suit back that require either the Screw Attack or Missiles to get through, becasue you would run out of Missiles with only the three required ones?  Because I think there are ways to refill when you need to.
