While trying to learn to speedrun this game I realized that, because I'm USB loading my game, loading times are practically non-existent. This would clearly create differences between my time and other people's, since they have to sit around and wait for doors to open. So, what should I do about this issue? Unfortunately, I grew up in New Zealand, so my copy of MP2 is a PAL copy. Living in America now, my Wii is NTSC, and so are all my TVs, so I haven't been able to find any way to run my PAL games properly other than USB loading. I could mess with the format the files are in on my hard drive, but that gives me longer loading times than using a disk, and sometimes the game just crashes randomly, so I don't see that as being a very good solution.

Since you have a NTSC wii now, I'd probably go ahead and buy an NTSC mp2 disc. Shouldn't be expensive at all. If you had a PAL wii and ran PAL mp2 properly, then it wouldn't really make much of a difference in speedrunning since IIRC the differences between PAL and NTSC mp2 don't really affect speedrunning.
I just found out that, because MP2 PAL only displays in 60Hz, I can get it to play fine without USB loading. I can't believe it never occurred to me to try that before today, but whatever, I can play with loading times now. Man, they take forever.
