Also i'd rather put a time upper to the list if the time is actually lower. for instance a ~1:15:15 above ~1:15:50, (even if it is estimated) But that's just a personal oppinion.

The problem with that is the number of runs where we have estimates on the number of seconds is extremely small. I'm pretty sure only Miles and T3 have ever even mentioned their estimate for the seconds, and they both seem to be okay with considering runs with the same IGT to be tied.

After checking the points system I think it's actually a pretty good idea, I'm not entirely sure how points are awarded though & based on what criteria they are given for, and why Metroid Prime is worth more (?) than Metroid Prime 2

I've been messing with the formula a lot recently. I wanted to weight the categories based on the amount of competition there is in each one. I think the best way to measure that is by counting the number of people who have done runs for that category. If I left it like that, then Prime Any% would be worth 46/20 = 2.3 times as much as Echoes Any% and 46/5 = 9.2 times as much as Corruption Any%. This seemed pretty extreme so I decided to smooth that out a little bit by taking the ratios to the 0.75 power. Right now Prime Any% is worth (46/20)^0.75 = 1.87 times as much as Echoes Any% and (46/5)^0.75 = 5.3 times as much as Corruption Any%.

I also set up the Low% points to take into account the popularity of the other categories for that same game as well as the number of people who have completed the low%. (The more runs done in any% and 100%, the more the low% is worth, and the more people who have done low%, the less it's worth.) I'm also awarding double points for doing a low% SS run.

Anyone can view the actual formulas I'm using for all this stuff just by clicking on the cells, by the way.

Also, why are some dates highlighted red? I can't seem to figure out a reason why.

Red dates are dates where the person mentioned that they achieved the time some time in the past but didn't give a specific date. The red date is the date they first mentioned it.

If we need proof for Frigate escape times then nevermind but if not my best is a 4:29:!

Generally I don't think anybody needs to be proofcalled in this community unless they put up a completely ridiculous time out of the blue. Maybe that's naivete on my part, but we haven't really had any cheating scandals of which I'm aware.
Damn okay, that system is pretty fucking sweet. I like that and it does make sense. I did complete a 1:10 segmented back in like 2010ish if I recall correctly but I'm working on getting a <1:10 SS run for it right now (are SS/Seg worth different point weights?) so that shouldn't be a PB for much longer...

Glad you approve.

I, um, put the segmented runs in a different document. Right now it doesn't look that great but I'm working on it.
Ah are you working on incorporating them later?
Take a look
I got 1:46 100% SS today with some terrible gameplay. Just off the top of my head

- falling in biohazard containment
- fucking up IBBF bad
- fucking up crossway embarrassingly bad
- falling down frozen pike 2 times
- saving in mines
- fucking up Main Quarry badly
- 6 minute mistake in FORGETTING FUCKING ARTIFACT OF SUN

could easily get 1:35 with some good gameplay

MP2 also a bit MP1 speedrunning
Finishing a run without all those mistakes is easier said than done though. And also other mistakes might happen... But thats 100% i guess, pretty long category.
Who cares? He said he can easily get a 1:35, so please add 1:35 to the leaderboard as that's what matters.
That's not what I'm saying at all though rofl, I'm just saying without adding any new starts or trying anything differently or learning anything new somewhere in the neighbourhood of 1:35 is achievable for me. I never even remotely asked to have that put on the leaderboards
It's a meme son

rocks, locks, and invisible blocks
justin's time is better than Miles in MP3 SS, but Miles is the one with the gold highlight.
