Hey there, I'm a high-level runner for Metroid 2, and I thought since some people I'm talking to are interested in the game I'd make a post with a leaderboard and some useful info. Now, at this moment I'm not sure of the second best runner, Carlmmii's time, but I know it approximately.

Leaderboards

100% Single Segment

EmptyEye (wr): 1:01:41
Carlmmii: 1:05:20
KentaKurodani: 1:06:32
Kronicsauce: 1:07:59
Kirbymastah: 1:10:26
Phazonknight: 1:12:26
Haaria: 1:15:48

Any% Single Segment
(Very few people run any%, and as such I don't have enough data for a leaderboard at this time. Same goes for either segmwnted run)

Beyond this, I also have some resources for potential runners of this game, currently only my own tutorials for 100%, but it's all I have at the moment.

Is there any way a mod could either sticky this or replace the op of what's your time with it? I'd like to keep this in the forefront of the subforum.

The what's your time threads seem a little superfluous due to the existence of the leader boards.

*Technically, it's about 1:03:01 by the old timing method. My understanding is that, once my 1:03:24 goes up on SDA, they'll be moving to their more "standard" timing method of starting on start of control, NOT hitting start on the title screen.

New PB today for me as well! Finally cut the Kronic, and by a wide margin! 1:06:32 hype! Video forthcoming after I finish the stream :P

New addition to the leaderboards! We have Phazonknight, with a deathless 100% PB of 1:12:26. Not too shabby if I say so myself, first of a few new people educated with the tutorial who are giving me pb's soon.

If anybody is interested in being a mod of the Metroid 2 section on speedrun.com please let me know. It would be pretty easy to host your leaderboards there.
