Well, guess what. Games for the DS are going to cost $30. O_o Which means we may see a price reduction for GBA games soon.

Launch titles include Super Mario 64 and Madden NFL. And of course we can all look forward to PictoChat and the Metroid Prime Hunters demo being packaged with the DS itself.

Advance Wars DS has been announced for the DS in 2005, and it will use Wi-Fi. There are also plans for Goldeneye, Final Fantasy 3j (It's finally coming to America), Pokemon Pearl and Diamond, and Pokemon Dash, a racing game.

Every day the DS looks better and better.
lol. i would be afraid if it looked worse every day.

Goldeneye? That sound specious....

Specious?  Could just be a crappy Rogue Agent handheld thing...

Why am I not suprised on the new Pkmn games?

However, a pkmn RACING game???

FINALLY! The only one I haven't played through yet.
And Hunters looks cool too. This is shaping up to be a decent system  :)

For a minute, I was reading "Pkmn" as Pikmin.
I'm going to be spending a lot of money come November.  Prime 2 on the 15th, then the DS 6 days later. o_o  I'll probably get Mario 64 and Band Brothers with the system.

You can say that again. Prime 2 + DS... gurgle. I don't think I'll have enough money to buy games for the DS when it comes out.
Well, at least I'll have First Hunt and whatever GBA games I haven't lost yet.
This could be the November To Remember.

where the hell did you hear info on a new pokemon (rpg) game?  nintendo isn't foolish enough to announce one now, i know for a fact they didn't.  The racing game was announced "pearl and diamond" are just fake names  There is definately going to be a pokemon game, eventually, but, they did not announce it right now, and i highly doubt its "pearl and diamond"

either way, the launch is somewhat bad, but, i need a DS badly so that i can play my GBA games.  I know it'll be worth it in the long run.

I also expressed suspicion about Goldeneye, as I said above, and now I might be seeing FF3j as just a gamer's wet dream. I suspect the list of games in the second post is a complete fabrication.

nah, goldeneye and FF3j are real, though, what goldeneye is anyones guess.  Could just be a port based upon the rogue agent title that EA has now.

Theres an article on gamespot about square-enix on the DS, with comments about how they're reworking FF3j and the new FF:CC

I forgot where I saw the information, but I'll look for it. And if you're looking for something to play your GBA games on, I highly recommend a GBA.

What were you saying? :P
Here's an interesting bit of info for you:

Now THAT'S interesting...
Now I really wish I had more money to buy a DS.

And as for new Pokemon games, I wouldn't mind if there were more than 450 Pokemon. :)
What luck, there's french fry stuck in my beard.
I'd probably faint if there were more than 400.
I('d) like to watch (some MP3 runs)
"October 07, 2004 - Square Enix revealed today that Final Fantasy III will be coming to the Nintendo DS system. While little has been revealed on the game, it's known that it will feature dual screen and touch panel support. The touch panel will come into play with how you collect crystals."

Huh? That sounds kind've lame.  But I guess I have to buy a DS now (hopefully I can play the Japanese version of the cart on a cheaper US version of the system).

I'm somewhat suprised at the $30 price tag on games. I was thinking more like $35-40. I can't wait for the drop in GBA games.

I'm kinda surprised too. EB and Gamestop had all the games costing $50 on their websites, and I was expecting the worst. Nintendo has given me a pleasant surprise.
As far as GBA game price droppage, I don't think it's going to happen. And if it does, the most it'll drop will be, like, $5. We'll see, though.
I'm not surprised.

It's because of the PSP... Nintendo now has a worthy competitor in the handheld market. It's go time and Nintendo will not accept second place in a market where they rule supreme.
I don't know. It's hard to be considered a "worthy opponent" in the handheld market when you're up against Nintendo. I personally think that the Game Gear will wind up being more of a threat than the PSP.
