If I recall the Space Pirate logs from the first 2 primes, Ridley is probably Part of High Command.
That makes him one of the bosses of the space pirates.
Ridley basicly killed everything Samus cherished and loved...
That makes him very important in her existence, I guess.

Also, i think that, from Zero Mission/Metroid up to Super Metroid is always the same ridley. This is hinted several times through the prime series

But the question stands on if he died after/between encounters (and, from that, how and how much he'd retain his self).  I'm not encyclopedic on the Prime logs (any and all Primes), so is there any record of what all occured to him off-screen?

there's a mix of cloning/rebuilding/surviving in ridley's timeline seeing how events turn out in all the games he's in.

although he's sure to come back, he should skip 1 game for now. he's been in a lot of the latest games.
Super Metroid Addict
Yeah, he actually only skipped Metroid II, and Prime 2... Something about the number two that he doesn't like, probably?
Go ahead. Stare.

What's more, if we include Hunters' position in the Primeline, that's also a "second" game.

Ridley is alive, I know this because he will be appearing in the Metroid movie.

From Wikipedia:

"A ghola is a fictional creature in the Dune universe created by Frank Herbert. A type of clone grown in an axlotl tank from genetic material retrieved from the cells of a deceased subject, a ghola is created using a technological process developed and monopolized by the Tleilaxu.[1][2] Later in Herbert's series the process is also used by the Bene Gesserit.[3]

The first ghola featured in the series — Hayt in Dune Messiah — is apparently a resurrection of the corpse of Duncan Idaho;[4] later gholas are grown from a few cells, as in the case of subsequent Idaho gholas provided to Leto II in God Emperor of Dune"

"The term ghola calls to mind ghoul, golem and ghost. Ghoul originates in Arabic, as do other terms in the Dune series — such as the Butlerian Jihad and the Fremen designation of Paul as the mahdi — and in modern fiction a ghoul is a creature which arises from a dead person. A golem refers to an artificial person out of Jewish folklore. In Dune Messiah, Hayt is even referred to by the Guild Navigator Edric as "A very unusual ghost".

Interesting imho.

It was fairly interesting to read, but you certainly win the Random Award. Wink
Annoying
Ridley has more clones than any other video game character in the universe. When Samus killed Ridley X, there was about 50 more of him laughing in the background.

If you count "copies", I'd wager Genesis Rhapsodos to contend.

I truly believe Crisis Core was meant to be called "The attack of the Clones" but that was already taken.
You spend the whole game beating Genesis's clones

now i wonder what would happen if the pirates go crazy and clone ridley in massive quantities.

imagine fighting 10 of them at the same time.
One shall stand, one shall ball.
I'd rather fight 10 Omega Metroids at the same time, but 10 Ridleys (Ridlies? Ridli?) sound like it'd be p fun.

Power bomb them until they go poof!
I don't know... I felt Quadraxis did a really good job in MP2. If only they could do something like bring it back... I would fall in love.

the big mystery is how did ridley got infected by an X and showed up in Fusion.
he was destroyed in SM
did the space pirates brought him back to life again before the incident in the BSL station in Fusion?

EDIT: it must be somewhere between after zebes exploded and the BSL incident
That's actually a good point.

The federation couldn't have picked up his remains because Zebes exploded. Almost forgot about that.

Pirates had a DNA sample, then raided B.S.L to clone him... BETTAR!
Super Metroid Addict
makes perfect sense to me...

As long has they have DNA samples, the muthafucka will always get back over and over again

lets just all agree that ridley just seems to die but comes back with band-aids under his/her armor.

I was almost tempted to go back and find another facepalm picture, but I hit my limit of one facepalm per day.

I was thinking, Ridley was a dinosaur sort of right? What if the pirates just had MULTIPLE Ridley's? I don't see why they would be forced to only have on Ridley, that wouldn't make any sense. Perhaps if Nintendo is reading this, in the next Metroid game we'll see Samus fighting against multiple Ridley's at the same time.
What'd you say?

Pirates had a DNA sample, and didn't raid the B.S.L station to clone him, the federation brought all of those monsters onto the B.S.L station, couldn't they have also picked up a baby ridley and didn't know it? After they brought it onto B.S.L, the X caught it and infected it. Then eventually samus kills it.

I don't see any loop holes.  extra_smug

Just because Fusion takes place after Super Metroid doesn't mean the GF didn't obtain Ridley's DNA until after Super Metroid.

They probably got it from some space pirate research facility. Considering all the incarnations he's had, it seems likely such samples exist.
Club 27 Goals
If they can replicate a dinosaur out if DNA, then does that mean they can make multiple Ridley's?
