I can't seem to get anywhere whithout loosing my 30 energy and dying. So I'd like to know if there is a way to quickly refill energy without entering a room leaving a room and repeaing hundreds of times?

not really, no. getting an energy tank gives you energy, so you could try that i guess.

Yeah seriously, that's your best bet. I never realized the truth behind Scarlet's advice until I tried it: "Don't die." It's really tough to refill energy satisfactorily, so once you die, you're pretty much doomed to die again soon until you find another etank.

Alright, so if I'm stuck with 30 energy and I have no clue where energy tanks are how should I go about refilling my energy? Cuz the bugs that keep respawning out of the tubes are annoying. I'm stuck at kraid's elevator.

The room right before Kraid is pretty good, but really, it's a hassle to GET there. Maybe the Geemer shaft in Brinstar?

Alright, Ill try that thanks.

Oh, is there a map for this game that someone has made? I believe that would help a ton since I'm so used to playing SM and I still have yet to beat this game.
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
This comes from the GameFAQs page. It even has a star thingy by it.

Thanks.
Tip 1: Dont Die  laugh new
Tip 2: Grab Energy Tanks

Theres what 5 max ETanks you can have and theres I believe 7 total. Once you actually beat the game and have an idea where everything this then it will only get easier and easier. Figuring out a route to where you consistently grab ETanks is crucial.

Isn't there a little warning that says "This topic is over 30 days old!" when you try to post?

EDIT:  Yeah, it should say "Warning: this topic has not been posted in for at least 31 days.
Unless you're sure you want to reply, please consider starting a new topic." in bright red letters at the top.
Disguzting homosapienz!...
honestly the main thing that I HATE about the original metroid is how you have to kill EVERY enemy that you see and try not to get hit more than once.
It makes it long, tedious, and overall not a fun Metroid gaming experience for me.

I can't see this as true.  Even in the small amount of the game I played, it was easy enough to just run past most stuff, which means you aren't getting refills, but you also aren't getting hit, so the two negate each other.

Yeah really, I found it easier to actually AVOID enemies and leave them alone. Though I had a tendency to kill everything, too.
It gets easier with the screw attack, but if you try and kill an enemy as soon as you jump, it won't work, because you don't start attacking until a little later in the jump.  You have the same kind of problem killing enemies at the end of your jump.
