I read somewhere about early power bombs in Norfair but they said it is really hard. My friend also did it but he had the Space jump and Gravity Suit. The weird thing is that Kraid wasn't killed yet and he said he got it in a gamesave.  Are early power bombs possible? 'Cause if they are, I'll get them right away.

Good point.  We have done quite a few things here that "out there" on the scale of possibile.  Shoot, we've pretty much redefined the word possible here.

So maybe one day, someone will figure it out.  But I doubt it.  Early power bombs would allow you skip Mother Brain, the suitless part, and even the fully powered suit all together!  The Plasma Beam, the Space Jump...  All those could remain as unkown items.  Finding a way to get early power bombs would really tear this game completely wide open.

I believe someone here said they used an AR and gave themselves early Poer Bombs, and busted into Tourain backwards.  When they did that, the timer that appeared after fighting Mother Brain came up and the planet started exploding.

In fact, I do believe there already was a topic here in this forum which discussed the whole early Power Bombs theory in great detail...

having played with it, i can tell it is im freaking possible. you can't fall fast enough in the lava to pull off a shinespark and you can't shinespark under lava anyways. you also can't bomb jump in lava.

IIRC, you need Speed Booster to get into tourian backwards

Speed,Gravity and either the "explody" or the "destroyed" room-state. The elevator won't work in one of these,not sure which one.

I tried to get early power bombs for a while, and it's really impossible.
The one tank in Crateria, is covered with powerbombblocks, and the other tank under the lava is not reachable with bombjumping, shinesparking or walljumping.
All the other tanks are in Chozodia/mother ship.

Don't forget the one under MB's tank in Tourian. Granted, I've tried like hell to glitch through the floor or something to get that one with no success  :?

There's this Supermissileblock under MB. I've not tried to shoot it and go through it. ^^
Is it possible to destroy it after/while fighting MB?

Nay. During the MB fight is a different room state from post explosion. There is no block to destroy.

Even if you could get that expansion, it would only save time by being able to get the expansion near the FPS earlier, and not having to run all the way up near Metal Ridley to get them in the first place...though that would be a nice time saver for 100%  Wink

Or game will crack when you enter Mother ship through the yellow doors, while the countdown is running.
