Is it possible to do controlled multiple bomb jumps in Metroid 1 as it is in the other Metroid games? I tried a while ago and remember not being able to do it. If anybody can do it hopefully they can get a video up on here.

Edit** So far the most i've been able to do is a 3 bomb jump (which is actually the height of 2 bombs) if you know what I mean.
Thread title:
Not that I'm aware of...after you get up in the air it tends to stop all further bomb laying until you're grounded again.
always move fast
i'm fairly sure an ibj is possible.  the most i've ever gotten is 5ish bombs up, as i have no idea how to control them, so it is at least possible to get pretty high up in the air.
Well,Infinite Bomb jumping may be difficult.
Highest I've gotten is around 5-7.
Mister ...
My record is 2-3, and it's very hard to do it even, so if you can get very high doing this, than you're lucky
it is possible, however, after being hit by a bomb, you can onl lay another bomb when you arent moving vertically (when on the ground or at the heighest point in your jump), meaning that you CAN ibj, but only good if you use frame by frame.

It has nothing to do with luck: skill and practice are the the only things involved.

I think Supuh said it best. Theoretically possible, physically impossible. I couldn't get it to work in FCEUltra at 1% speed.
It's skill that makes it possible, but it's luck that makes it happen.
