Trilogy Corruption has some new invisible walls that stop some tricks iirc. Go for the original version if you can.

Actually there aren't any new invisible walls AFAIK, but what they did do is remove BSJ, which is a stupidly important trick in Corruption. There were also some changes made to the PAL version that I have no doubt are also present in Trilogy. So don't use Trilogy.

Hello. I'm Jiffy. I'm from Metroid Construction, and I thought I'd check this place out. I hack Super Metroid (making a hack called Arrival), and Metroid Fusion/Zero Mission. I may or may not post a thread about Arrival sooner or later.

Anyway. I first started playing Metroid Fusion at the age of 6. My best time is 1:10, which is lame, and 1:48 for 100% (because I forgot the Power Bomb tank floating in space near what was the Restricted Zone.)
This place only looks like a speedrunning forum, so I probably shouldn't get too involved. I'll be around.

Nah, it's not just a speedrunning forum. Now it's mostly just a bunch of friends hanging out posting about dumb stuff. Just with the added bonus of some really cool and helpful people working on some speedrun stuff and answering questions about how they do it.

to be clear, posts are updated in real time, so irc-like conversations are allowed (as long as you type full sentences). also, this forum is way less about speedrunning and more social than it used to be. i think most of the sm hacking stuff has moved on to metroid construction, but parax and miles are doing some pretty cool things in prime 1 and 2.

"Lets launch over it!" or however that line went was a pretty common saying between my friends and I for a few years after watching that.

oh oh oh and the "Body massage" in that really deep black guy voice. There's an item in LoL called the "Spirit Visage" and everytime one of us mention getting it we're like "Oh one sec, gotta get my Spirit Visage" in the same black guy voice.
