Well Hello everyone !

I've found this forum while looking for help about a Super Metroid hack ( the RBO Impossible ), and I decided to register here to (maybe) help others Metroid gamers and to simply comments stuff/hack. As I'm trying as hard as possible to finish this Super Metroid hack, I guess I can maybe help people who are also playing it, or maybe they can help me in fact :d !
Oh and also, what do you think about the last Metroid : The Other M ? Still haven't played it but it seemed quite cool. Should I buy it ?

See you :-) !
Super Secret Area - Dead Ahead!
Welcome. aiwebs_004

Other M: As a game, it's fine, though very short.  As a Metroid game, people are generally pretending it doesn't exist. Razz
red chamber dream
nah, it's a generally horrendous game containing an insulting story rife with stupid japanese clichés, hideous voice acting, fucking retarded gameplay due to nintendo forcing a lame control scheme on the developers, ugly graphics, tinny sound, and stupid mechanics like pixel hunts.

that said, it's worth playing just to experience how terrible it is, mostly because it's easy to see how it could have been a decent game.
Super Secret Area - Dead Ahead!
Argh!  I'd forgotten about the pixel hunts, damn you! Evil or Very Mad
Pixel hunts ? okay xD

Well I guess I'll buy it when it'll be quite cheap. Now I know why all of the sudden, that game that costed like 60€ in any shops dropped to 30€ in like .. 1 month ?
Must really sucks :D
One shall stand, one shall ball.
It's not so much that it really sucks as it is aggressively mediocre with some really sucky elements.
red chamber dream
no really, it sucks. helps to drink something strong while playing.
Other M made me cry.  Literally.
The only Metroid game I had no desire to play again to get 100%. I'm still in shock how bad it is Mad

Maybe I didn't play it long enough, but I think if it didn't have the metroid name tacked onto it it would've been better. Kinda like Duke Nukem Forever, I suppose.

Course I only played it for awhile at a friends house.
I like turtles.
That's actually a fairly accurate assessment.

But seriously, the game has its share of flaws, and they do stand out all the more because this series normally has a very good reputation, and has consistently good games.  If you like cinema and action, and can disregard horrible writing, then I would say "rent it, try it out."  There is a decent game in there somewhere, and it shows during a few select moments (namely, the boss fights, and especially the late-game ones).  Even if you like the game, though, there isn't enough replay value to justify spending more money than it would cost to rent it, in my opinion.
*sigh* A metroid game with low replay value.  Makes me wanna start bawling.

Yeah, I know I'm super late at replying, but I'm still very much alive. How's everyone doing? I see you're playing my hack that I made long time ago, probably I've already forgotten about it.

oh hey ai, funny just today I saw your name on steam and wondered if you left or something. So have you gotten any new crazy computer stuff lately? I remember you had all those monitors and things.

Yeah, I've sold my all monitors except my 3D 120hz monitor. Also, I got a new motherboard to fix the BSOD problem I have for long time.

It been a while, I but I also have Alienware m14x.

And yes, I still use steam. I also use origin for Battlefield 3, kinda suck that it's not available on steam.

yeah I was kinda ticked about that too. Origin isn't as terrible as everyone made it out to be though, and since the server browser is all browser based, the game starts up pretty damn fast (might just be that I have it installed on a SSD though, idk)
Actually, I was thinking about getting a RevoDrive, which can read up to 540MB/s and write up to 490MB/s, which is far faster than any other sata SSD drive. RevoDrive is powered by pci-e.

seems a bit excessive in the end, but hell if you have the extra money why not? :P
I can get 120 GB for 235 US dollars on ebay, which is what I'm about to get.

Doesn't sound like too bad of a deal, considering I got this 64GB SSD for around $90 on newegg a few months ago.

It doesn't sound like a bad deal because it is used. It's usually retail for 316.99 for brand new.

Edit: Opps! I just bought one for 235 US dollars! http://bit.ly/piWGxg

huh, maybe I should order one of those 120GB ones myself. I could take out the SSD in the desktop and stick it in my laptop. Oh, yeah, I got a pretty sweet laptop now too, Asus G series. i7 @ 2.8GHz w/ turbo boost, 8GB DDR3 1333 RAM, 1TB HDD, Nvidia 460M, 1920 x 1080 screen, etc. if you don't count AA it had no problems maxing BC2, Black Ops, etc. Really impressed with how much punch laptops are able to have nowadays, it'll be even more crazy in 8 years.

Yeah, same. My laptop has been using SSD for a while now, it used to be used on desktop.

Oh, and here's my desktop specs:
Intel core i7 970 (6 cores processor)
2 GTX 580s in SLI
12 GB DDR3 ram
850w PSU
2 512 GB solid state hybrid in raid 0
1 TB HD
750 GB HD
Asus P6X58D-E Motherboard

I haven't actually upgraded anything in my desktop in quite awhile (possibly not since you were last here), so be gentle~
AMD Phenom II x4 BE (OC'd to 4.0GHz, quad core)
8GB DDR3 RAM (two slots still open, gonna buy another 8 gigs once Newegg does another sale)
ATi 6850 (thinking about buying a 6950 and unlocking it to a 6970, I only have one GPU slot so I can't xfire/SLi)
aaaand... 750W PSU I think? I don't remember the mobo either.
64GB SSD (OS, Programs, and whatever games I'm playing)
1TB Caviar Black (for all my media)
300GB something (backup stuff)

oh curious though, how does the life of one of those PCI SSD compare to some of the newer SSD? I know the write limits at least used to be a slight problem back when SSD were first getting around, but idk if that applies in the same way to those.
