I hope there hasn't been a topic like this already but I think infinite wall jumping is possible. When you wall jump, if you go back towards the wall using the jump extend, I think you can gain pixel or two of height. I tried this on the cartridge and it seemed like it worked but I cant be sure. Can someone confirm this for me?
Thread title:
I'm pretty sure its not possible but who knows..
With an extreme amount of skill (or an emulator) I think this can be done. So far, I've found out you would be able to skip high jump/ball jump and can probably skip other things too (or get early items)
hmm if this is in fact true then congratulations on sequnce breaking Fusion but untill then i would like to see vidoe proof or at least tell us what item you skiped or got in a diffrent order.
iirc we determined long ago that it is impossible to gain height while wall jumping in fusion. you can, however, "hang out" on the wall if you are insane enough - this is referred to as a "zero sum wall jump" (discovered by sesshoumaru).
oooh.......ok...

Why did Fusion have to ruin all the fun and stop people from doing stuff like this?
Are there an VIds?  :D
yes ... remind me when i get home and i can try to post one. it's not spectacular, though.
Fusion is based off not being able to sequence break. That is why everything in this game is done by........how you say...... that one thing...

(I guess.....    if THIS, then THAT.)

It is impossible to infinate bomb jump in fusion. The timing of the bombs don't coralate with each other to even get a double bomb jump.  Skipping High jump boots is not possible ither, you need it to escape that....place.....
there is, however, stuff like this.
Time bomb set get out fast!

Linearity?  Sequential order?  Laddering?  Incrementation?  event++?  There are many ways to say "Fusion is mean."
you forgot adam
直死の魔眼使い
Zeke, I believe the word he was looking for was Event++. :P
no, actually, its done by adam, he locks the doors to the different sectors, he forces you to do his robot desires, its all adams fault
I though CO's of the military were not supposed to be retarded.
zs wall jump demo done by sess on 9 august 2003 (m2k2 was only one week old, awwww!):

http://nate.metroid2002.com/ph33rm3.AVI

there is believed to be at least one zs (no height lost) series of two wall jumps inside there.

Obviously a computer jacked some aspects of the real Adam and retardized it.
Yea but if it was real then wouldn't it be smart for adam to only have one sector open at a time if only that was possible..
No because then 100% wouldnt be possible.
And how is that?
because you have to go back after you get......oh wait they are all connected. Embarassed
About that video, those were really quick jumps. My idea was to turn back to the wall about halfway through the wall jump and use the jump extent. Are you still sure its impossible to gain height?

Yes........  8)
You move faster from a wall jump than normal air movement. This includes movement from turning around after the wall jump.
