I just remembered that Nettori gives an eyeguy instead of a normal core-x, so that would explain that...

Still, if you were to be able to somehow kill Nettori before the PYR meltdown, you *should* be able to get Wide Beam from it. I'll play with a few values and try it.

Edit: I forgot a minor little detail, and it turns out I was wrong. If the event counter isn't right, then not only will you not get any items, but the event counter also does not advance.

lol. you can't do most of that on console, and it shouldn't take five hours to do on an emulator.

lol. i think it has one use in tas. also, i tried skipping the sa-x encounter in sector 6 but iirc the computer just said "target eradicated".
