Do you think Metroid Prime 3 was good? I mean, I don't HAVE it, but it looks like fun. The last boss (I don't think I'm allowed to tell just yet?)
was a little.......I don't know, it just seemed as if Metroid Prime 1+2, with the exception of the true last boss on 2, had more.......coolness to it, with the setup and the music. As for MP3's setup, it's REALLY good, and I think they could've done more....

I guess....game that was most enjoyable?
Which bosses did we like the most?
Anywhere, everywhere
Corruption has the hunter battles.

'nuff said.
Overall or just the final bosses?

I think 1 or 2 for the last boss.  MP3's was too FPS.  #2's had more variety but #1 on hard mode was a perfectly balanced difficulty.

As far as overall bosses go, probably #2.

I'm going to have to go with Prime 1. I can't recall a single disappointing  boss battle throughout the game. On top of that you actually fight Metroid Prime.

Also I find the Meta Ridley fight in Prime 1 vastly superior to the ones in Prime 3 in terms of scenery and setup.
I had to go with Prime 1 on this one.  While I enjoyed the bosses on Prime 3 immensely, there was a level of difficulty on the Prime 1 bosses that make me like it more as far as that goes.  In Prime 1, Thardus was the only boss where I didn't die.  Every other boss I died multiple times.  Meta Ridley kicked my sorry arse into the double digits; the Omega Pirate left my heart palpitating when I finally did beat him with like 2 energy left, on try number 8 or 9.

In Prime 3 the only bosses that really gave me any trouble were Mogenar and Rundas.  Ghor, Omega Ridley, and Dark Samus were disappointingly easy.  Granted I was playing on Normal mode, but I really stink at these games.  As for Prime 2, meh.  I didn't really care for the game overall.  I can't even really recall who the bosses were.
I'm going with Prime 1.

A lot of the boss battles in Corruption follow the exact same format: Do something to stun the boss and make them vulnerable. Ok, now go into hypermode and deal actual damage. Ok, rinse and repeat. Also, how many bosses jump and then release shock waves when they land?

The final boss battles, though fun, were disappointingly easy on Normal difficulty. I know there are 3 difficulty levels, but come on... the final bosses in the first 2 handed my ass to me multiple times before I finally beat them, so it felt like a real accomplishment to finish the game.

Prime 2 is my least favorite of the 3, so it does not even enter the equation.
MP3--More bosses!  A bit easy, but try a low% run and you'll appreciate the way they were designed more.

MP2 can't win any contests, no matter what they are.
Why does Prime 2 get no love?  The scenery may not be as colourful as the other 2 but the puzzles and bosses are top notch.

Funny, Thardus - with the exception of Ridley  was the only one who pwned me a few times on hard mode in Prime 1.  Ridley did give me grief 5 or 6 times on hard.  Omega pirate - again on hard - gave me trouble until I discovered the power bomb trick.  Dead in one try then.

Again - funny that, Rundas I beat in under one minute even on Hyper mode.  Ridley is tough and Dark Samus is supposed to be disproportionately harder compared to the other bosses on Hyper - I've saved just after hacking the Leviathan so it's time to see just how tough DS and the AU are!

Truth be told though, I think that Hard and Hyper are the proper difficulties anyway; they need to be completed 100% to unlock all content. You can't moan a game is too easy if you're not playing the toughest setting.
I'd definitely have to go with Prime.  Sure, the bosses were less frequent, but they just made much more memorable battles.

Prime I definitely-- it's the best of the games and also has the best bosses.
Even though they all seem like such old hat to me, if I really think back to the first time through the game, I died on Flaaghra a few times, none on Thardus, once on OP, three times on Meta Ridley, and something like thirteen times on MP. They were all fun as hell, too.

Echoze, on the other hand, had some cool fights (Spider Guardian, Amorbis, and Caretaker Drone (lolminiboss), but most were just bland and boring, mainly due to the fact that all the Ing look the same to me (I still couldn't tell you what Bomb Guardian, Jump Guardian, Boost Guardian, and PB Guardian look like. Alpha Blogg just sucks due to its name, and Chykka, while unique, still wasn't all that fun. Quadraxis was cool enough, but a bit too tiresome. I actually liked Emperor Ing quite a bit, though not nearly as much as Prime.

I love some of the boss battles in Corruption, particularly Mogenar, who is easily one of the best bosses in the entire series. For most of the bosses, though, I had difficulty figuring out how to damage the stupid things: much of the time it seemed like I was just trying everything in my arsenal out of desperation. I haven't died once in Corruption yet, however, so though they were a trick to figure out, they still were never very tough to beat.

Going by what was hardest, prime 2. for prime 3, it was just way too easy (though I guess it's not if you're trying to get through phaaze on 1-2 energy tanks)

Still havent beaten prime 2 on hard. -.-

Why would you go by what's hardest? Hardest does not mean best. Also, have you played Corruption on Hyper difficulty?
Anywhere, everywhere
Yeah mp3 normal is loads easier than the other 2's normal, but hyper is a ton more difficult than the others' hard mode.

Chykka was an amazing battle.  Swinging from point to point, shooting missiles, dodging its young... possibly my fave MP2 boss.  All the Ing bosses look the same because they're all Hunter Ing with a a Samus ability.

I really don't understand what's so difficult about the MP1 boss (MP itself); I found it rather easy.

After playing AU 313 on Hyper as well as DS, I can tell you that it is not enjoyable - just ridiculously difficult and tedious.

Overall on MP3's bosses, too many of them were about hammering A and precision shooting - not what Prime should be about.  Gandrayda particularly.  MP3 bosses pale compared to #1 and #2.

In my opinion....heh......Quadraxis was one of the best ones EVER to me. I drew him, and variations of him, for months. I even built him out of Bionicles!(and it actually did look like him).  Even though he was easy (of course I was on normal) , he was the largest boss, I think, so far. Prime 2 itself was a mess, but some of the battles such as the Chykka and Emperor Ing Final were good.
Also, I just got done recording Prime 1's Metroid Prime fight music.
It's interesting, actually. And I find if you leave the Metroids alone, you can generally get to Prime's lair faster. I think that Prime 3's last boss was....very disappointing. I had higher expectations, but until later on, when everyone has played it through(which that could be a while), I can't spill it.

Try beating the final bosses on the Hyper Mode or with 1 E-Tank (or both). You will find out how hard they are.

The topic is marked spoilers...
IMHO, Prime 2 had the best art direction as a package.  If you look at the design of the game, as a whole, then I think it beats the other two.  Even if the color scheme was black, white, gray, and purple.

Boss battle-wise...I choose you Prime 1!

I also think that Dark Samus is really hard on Hypermode difficulty.  Hard enough to make me stop playing for a while and go play other games.

Why, why, WHY?

Echoes was a phenomenal game.  I made a rather lengthy thread (here) about what annoyed me about it compared to the first, but it is no way 'a mess'.

Yes, I completed MP3's boss on Hyper just 30 minutes ago - it was not enjoyable, just ridiculously difficult, and unfair and actually rather tedious (so all the opposite reasons to you).  From the start of Phaaze to the final shot, with cut scenes skipped, it took me an hour.  AN HOUR.  After you've done Dark Samus you spend at least 10 minutes just replenishing your health by shooting AU 313's tentacles, and restoring any that you lose during the arduous battle.

THEN on the last phase it's dodge frenzy madness as there is no health - you have to make sure you finish the first phase with enough health and then plough your way through AU 313 in the second quick enough without taking too much damage.  I had about 7/8 of the phazon bar full when I killed it and I tried to hold it in but I yelled "YES!" so hard and loud that the wife wondered what happened.

I've not only duplicated the save file on the Wii, but copied it to an SD card and will upload that to the PC later too, to keep safe.  I never want to battle DS or AU 313 on Hyper ever again.

I think it wasn't the difficulty of any one of the bosses - it was all 3 straight after each other with no restarts.  IMO once you beat one and died, you should have been able to continue from there.

I did feel like playing something else but I'm glad it's done now.
In fact Super Paper Mario is winging its way from the States to my little island right now.  Hopefully here before week's end.

Exactly. Echoze's art is boring as hell-- it's all muddy and dark, and nearly the ENTIRE game is like that. Corruption's got lots of dark and bright colors, but still can keep a consistent atmosphere throughout. Echoze's atmosphere is consistent, but it's just boringly depressing. I do feel that Corruption had far too many reds in its landscapes/art, but at least it wasn't as bad as Echoze's. Prime I's was the best mix imo. It looked the most like a plausible alien planet, while still not looking too much like Earth.

It was good enough to stand on its own, but it's much like Fusion in that it's not a phenomenal Metroid game.

Okay, so if it is..........................My expectations were somewhere along the lines of a huge, Phazon-leaking Metroid Prime. Like itself in it's shell in MP 1, but with more weapons, and with LEGS. I guess what I'm trying to say, is like Quadraxis fused with Metroid Prime.
It could be a hard fight. And if they could keep the arena, that would be GREAT. And responding to earlier posts......I sorta take that back about Prime 2. It was fun, but after Quadraxis, it was too boring, especially if you didn't look online like I did.......and even THEN, getting to the keys was boring. EMP Ing wasn't bad, though the egg-stage was boring. And I guess I haven't seen enough of 3 to really judge it, it just seems to me as if a re-make of Flaahgra(or however the heck you spell it) isn't the best idea. I mean, I'm sure it was difficult, but the music, as I listened, got boring. MP1's music was great, same goes with 2. Now, I still haven't learned what Phaaze is....I looked on Gamefaqs but I didn't see anything......

I actually like Aether more than Tallon IV becaue Tallon IV was way too earthy. Dark Aether sucked though.
