In SSB Melee, at the Brinstar level (not Brinstar Depths), you can see a Chozo Statue in the backround like the ones in Zero Mission. I'm not sure if this has been discovered, and I've never played the first three Metroid games, but I still posted just in case.
Thread title:
Not impossible
just highly unlikely
The Chozo statues have looked like that since even the first Metroid game.
I should have known...oh well, thanks for telling me.
And at one point, the statue will stand up and walk to another place to sit.
What luck, there's french fry stuck in my beard.
The one in SSBM looks more like the older Chozo statues than the ones in Zero Mission.  See?

A Chozo statue from Super Metroid.  (He holds missiles, but that's not important)

Except for the fact that it gets up and walks around.
There is a Chozo statue in the wrecked ship that can walk. You just jup into its hands, morph, and it will grab hold of Samus, get up, and walk her to a different room.

Well, I haven't played Super, so...  Stupid scruples!  I don't have an SNES and I refuse to use an emulator.  Come on, Nintendo, make with the revival.
I always found that Chozo that takes you to the other room a time killer. Jeeze its like you almost wait 30 seconds. But I didn't feel like counting how much time.

I think gettnig the varia suit in prime takes to long. that has to be 40 seconds or so.

Amen. Since I still can't do the Wild Bomb Jump, that cutscence is the most annoying thing ever...er second most. Anything of Flaahgra makes me want to grab a big-ass sword and cut his head off.

Wait. Are you really Link?

Uh...That's supposed to be a secret! Now I will have to kill you!

Link would never kill just like that! your not link!
That's what he wants you to think! He isn't really going to kill anyone, he's just saying that so you'll think he isn't Link!

and now we have a paradox :D
Yo, Saber, i have no clue where you live, or if its even a possibility, but i happen to have a spare, unused SNES that i need to get rid of, i'd far prefer to sell it to someone for cheap instead of giving it to a gamestop or whatnot.

note: this is a spare snes, i have two, i love snes far too much to get rid of it.
Cook of the Sea
It is unlikely that this will work given the overpowering odds against our sufficient proximity.  It is a remarkably interesting idea , though, if it would work out.  I have PMed you regarding my general location.  Hey, even if we don't live close enough, maybe we could set up something reasonably foolproof on E-Bay, or something.

**wiggles upper lip at the unlikely but possible thought of getting an SNES Laughing **
SNES...must...get...actually, I've wanted a SNES for about 2 years, just that I can't get one until I sell my N64...which I'm to lazy to do...
Cook of the Sea
Well, I don't even have an N64, never did, so bleah.  :D
I still hav my N64 somewhere. I used to have a NES and a SNES too, but my parents didn't let me keep them when I got my N64. I've never fully forgiven them for that.
Cook of the Sea
Sometimes parents just don't understand that one system, while better than older systems, does not replace the older ones.  My parents are fairly good about that.  Of course, I never owned a platform system until my Gamecube that I got for Christmas this year, so it was just Gameboys for me for awhile.  That's why my nostalgia factor is highest with Metroid II.  I played that on my cousin's Gameboy (the SSBM one, by the way) before I ever owned a Gameboy.  I ran around like crazy trying to find a copy of it once I got one, so imagine my joy when we got a Gamestop at our city and there was...ta da!  Metroid II!  In perfect condition!
The annoying thing was my parents DID understand that the N64 wouldn't make the NES or SNES redundant. They also understood that we lived in a small house and didn't really have room for more than 2 consoles and games for them all without creating a ot of clutter, and as my brother had just bought a Playstation both my old consoles had to go if I wanted a new one. I think it's ironic that there are now 4 consoles and 3 kinds of gameboy in my house right now.

*sigh*
Maybe one day I'll once again be able to play SNES games without resorting to an emulator.

Well, in the meantime, Nintendo is busy porting all of the best games to GBA.  Link to the Past.  Every dang side-scrolling Mario ever made.  That one flight sim.  R-type.  etc.  Let's just hope that MIII and Chronotrigger don't get lost in the shuffle.

cept the majority of those games aren't nintendo made, or owned, and nintendo has absolutely nothing to do with if they are being ported or not being ported.
