I got into Ridley before Kraid on a new game that I started, and I beat it, but now I can't get out cause I don't have the speed booster. Is there any way to get out or will I have to start a new game?
If you're talking about the passage to the right of the elavator leading to the screw atack then, like I said, I don't have the speed booster so I can't go on. If you mean Imago Cacoon's room, then I just now went there and bombed the whole right wall and I found nothing.
you don't need the speed booster. there are only a few speed booster blocks in ridley, and all of them guard things that are no use if you're not playing 100%.
are the bomb blocks in mr. a's picture gone? because if they are then you could be in a weird place, i have never seen that. even if you are, the speed boost won't solve your problems.
the right wall in that room (the picture) has a couple speed booster passages that lead to missile expansions. i don't think there's any way to spark through the upper one if you're not coming from the right room though.
okay, that makes a bazillion times more sense. there's a ledge below the screw attack wall. step on that, and shoot a missile at the block directly below the ledge above it (as i recall, it might be a little off). power-grip the wall, and roll through. then there's a cannon that cuts the same path as the cannon through the other wall.
i hope that makes sense. i also hope i'm right. though, i used this three times last weekend in the car, so it should be pretty close.
The rocks next to the elevator should crumble, then you would find door A. Dispose door A and enter. Three blocks up on the wall would be 2 blocks with a weakness of "missile". Hold R to switch your beam cannon into a missile launcher. Destroy blocks. Press down twice to switch to morph ball. jump up into the hole, then destroy the ground with beam (let go of R). You should have a long row of bomb-vunerbule blocks. The top-right corner of the mini-room is missile weakened. Dee-stroy. Now you can bomb in the hole, leading to a ball spitter, that leads into another bomb spitter, that leads to a vine room!!! YAY!!!!!!!
transience, that's not very nice. There's nothing whatsoever wrong with liking Fusion. Just because it deviates from the tried and tested Metroid formula does not make it a bad game.
Now, back to the subject at hand: As near as I know, Zero Mission was made to be broken. Sequence breaks in the other Metroid games may be totally unintentional on the makers part, but they expect you to do it in Zero Mission. For that reason, they've been very thorough in making sure it's impossible to get stuck through sequence breaking. Or at least, if it is possible to get stuck, no-one's found a way yet.
you have a "loves: metroid fusion" thing in your profile. no help for you.
What are you, the Help Nazi?
That's it. Where's your closet with your secret tips that no one else knows?
For those that didn't quite get the joke behind my post, I was referring to a certain Seinfeld character who had a similar obsession with handing out oh-so-delicious soup, as well as the misfortune of getting on Elaine's bad side.
I did this because I too have a wuv for Fusion and, on the off-chance I actually get my head around to playing Metroid again, I would like to get some help m'self if I ever ask for it.

I have. :D
Use a Gameshark or Action Replay or something, look for the code to start with suitless Samus, THEN try getting past the first Chozo statue.
When I got to Kraid, I forgot all about my supers, and killed him with regular missiles. But it still took me no more than 2 minutes. Kraid's way too easy.
however, I think he's the first person I've seen to actually have fusion next to his little heart.
of the 118 who have pledged themselves to the metroid jihads (nate doesn't count as cantonbags04, while awesome, is not a metroid game...yet...) there are eight who have chosen fusion. presumably they hang out on the fusion board and don't post much though...
