Okay, what I was speaking of was a variation on climbing the Crash Site. I tryed and tryed to do it the method described on the site, but I must have been doing something wrong. So, I just ghetto jumped up to the place where you can jump again. It took about fifty trys the first time, but now I can do it on my third attempt.
Also, does the X-Ray Visor increase the effectiveness of a ghetto jump? It seemed to help with climbing the Crash Site.

that's known ... *puts it on The List* though that ghetto is pretty crazy. i think it's a somewhat advanced trick to do fcs backwards either way.

no idea. we would need proof of that ... though all the evidence we have for space jump increasing the efficacy of your first jump and of bomb jump morphing is anecdotal.

Tryed trick again with various guns and visors with no differences.

It was just a fluke when I got in on third try after turning on X-Ray Visor.  Embarassed
