Yeah, Prime is the only good reason to actually use the Ice Spreader. I only picked up Flamethrower cause it was there, looked cool, and I was going for 100%.

Why?  There are plenty of things that require less than five Missiles to destroy and more than one, and you'd never notice that you were overusing if you always used Supers.

I didn't have the Ice Spreader the first time I battled Prime. Hitting him with charged Ice Beam shots was not very easy.

For some weird reason, I use the Flamethrower instead of charged Plasma to kick his Adam when he's red. I always thought that would do more damage >__>

It probably does since it requires a charge, uses missiles and has a sucky range.

An upgrade that allows you to store your shinespark at any time, and convert the energy to a beam form, like a powerful Charge shot. It would destroy speed blocks and anything else the Speed booster can destroy. I don't know why, but it would be cool to have even more complicated shinespark puzzles.
(This comeing from the person who is having trouble getting the secret message in Fusion)

Well, that would take all the challenge out of Shinespark techniques.  Maybe an item that would let you hold the Shinespark charge after charging and crouching for a bit longer, but not store it like a Reserve Tank to be used in Beam form.  The entire point of Speed Booster puzzles is that you have to get Samus from one place to another before the charge runs out.

I agree, but I still like the idea of converting a Shinespark inato a beam... not so destroy speed blocks, just to wound the crap out of anything.
