well, tzyr was fiddling around with the demo, trying to find a way to do a tbj/ibj in it, when he thought he found a technique.  He had no way to record, so he asked on irc if i could help, i agreed.

he was trying in the landing site. to be more specific, on the slant between the final piller on the left, and the web. He came up with timing similar to that of an hbj in prime, but with the bombs a little delayed. He also managed to do a tbj on the second to last pillar.

after experimenting a bit, i managed to get up the spider track in the room with the pirate battle. it was actually the corner the spider track formed with the platform, but they are the same thing, right? after practicing a while, tzyr and i came to realize that an ibj should be possible, if you can lay the bombs far enough apart.

i looked for places to test this, and eventually came upon the room with the scan to open the dark world. after 15 minutes of trying, i got an ibj. i made it all the way to the ceiling in one chain of bombs.

SUMMARY: a hbj and tbj are easy enough to do in mp2, against a wall at least. tzyr and i figured out the timing of the bombs, and eventually developed an ibj. this should work against all walls, but the only one large enough to test was the one in the video.

EDIT: here is a video of the spider track hbj. notice how the bombs are delayed until the last second, this is done because if you lay them too close together, you cant lay them for awhile, and you fall.

Wow, that's pretty cool stuff. I wonder how much sequence breaking there will be in MP2 ...

That truly is an ibj of doom. Too bad I won't be able to do that because I suck.

well, i as doing some more snooping and i found two places that could better show the height, one in a corner, and one just against the wall:

One shall stand, one shall ball.
Cool stuff Sparky, now if this still works in the final version, and it probably will, we'll have to find a practical use for it. Besides allowing us to stand directly in front of a turret while it fires at us :P.
Already it makes getting to SW2 easier, as the pole hop is hard, and this seems to be much more doable.
I just got this horrible idea, what if ibj was meant to be? on purpose? INTENTIONAL SEQUENCE BREAKING!!
The whole method seems easy enough for a developer team to notice.. maybe they're really sloppy with this one as well? UNINTENTIONAL SEQUENCE BREAKING!!

humptidum.. Rolling Eyes
I know you are talking about the IBJ, but since you also mentioned the TBJ, I thought I might direct you to my attempts at getting it a while ago:

(Head down a bit and you should find it: My 7th or 8th post I think)

I figure, it's a start., so if you are able to do something with this, go for it.  (No vids of my attempts though, so you'll have to interpret what is said.)

And from everything I've heard and seen about Echoes, if we can pull something like this off it may lead to one big SB eventually  Wink

Edit: Nice work btw on what sounds like good progress with the IBJ
I'm assuming this didn't work in the final cut, since we'd all be talking about it, and SB would be much more abundant!
Yeah, IBJ was demo-exclusive :P

From what I'm gathering, the PAUSE menu messed it up? How the hell did that happen?
