How come Samus's gun arm as suddenly switched to her left hand?

In all the other metroids it is on her right arm.

I know it is sorta stupid but I was just wondering.
Thread title:
fascinating. must have happened when they gave her the new gun after she regained consciousness following the metroid vaccine.
Uh, her gun's still on the right.
where do you see that? i'm looking at this.

Wow... wait, is that pic flipped? Cause I distinctly remember the elevator scenes with the gun in the right place.
In the game it's on the right, and in the art it's on the left. Looks like Nintendo hasn't been paying very much attention to thier games.

It's on her right arm still, isn't it? At least it is on MY game....

Oh...there are more posts...I only saw the first two...Ah well. That's funny.

I think they flipped it so that it would fit in the picture.
yeah, they did. http://metroid.com, look at fusion. Don't even need to click.

Indeed, I had to flip the original Fusion Suit picture, in order to fit correctly in the limited amount of space I had to work on. :P

So indeed, as my pal Dark_T_Zeratul here says, it's still on her right arm. :)

Gotta pay attention to those details, Zero. Now if you'll excuse me, I'll go play LttP.

Hmmm...

*wonders what the hell did that mean, then gives up to the thought of losing 20 points*

Biatch. :P

I second THAT emotion!
Legend Of Zelda: A Link To The Past?

Anyway. Nice find. But seriously. You gotta try to invert the colors on the original Fusion Suit :D Looks awesome. Green helmet w/ a red visor, the yellow parts of her suit turns dark blue & the normally blue parts ten pale red.

Those point are mine :)

直死の魔眼使い
I knew it meant Link to the Past, but how in the hell does that relate to the topic at hand? I thought those 20 points were awarded for figuring THAT out. :P
Left-handedness, right-handedness. Look closely...
Yeah. His sheid always faces north towards Death Mountain, unless of course he's facing vertically, so when he faces right they kinda...screw it up. I'm not sure if they fixed that in the GBA port or not though. I should check.

*Smacks head on table*

Crap... how in the living hell didn't I notice that...?!

*Smacks head on table again, this time harder*
I always thought they did it because it might have been easier to mirror the image than to make a new one.  :?

Yep. The Death Mountain shtick is just Nintendo's bullshit explanation.

I always thought Link was ambidextrous. I dismissed it as Link showing off.
This is very similar to the Ocarina of Time, Link Left Handed Problem Picture. Turns out that Nintendo mirrors its images frequently even when they don't need to fit it in a certain space. Don't ask me why they do though.

Here's a question: how does Samus grab the ladders with her arm cannon??!!

It's pretty much a straight port, so no :P
