There is a place in the very left part of Norfair where you can get early Missile Tank. This is to try ( im not sure it works in hard but it can be done on Normal )

There is boiling lava ( Gravity Suit immunized-lava ) where you can go down and get a Missile Tank at the end. Ive did it on my try of 100% run. Its up to you to try... be sure you know where it is...

You can get that item without Gravity Suit.

I know what one you're referring to, but on a 100% Normal speed run it doesn't save you any time since you need to come back to that same area with Gravity Suit to get the power bomb anyway.

That is, unless someone knows a way to get that one earlier too...then you might be on to something  Wink

Impossible. Can't wall jump up to the p bomb, and can't ibj at all in liquid for some reason.

Heh, believe me, I'd kill to be able to get that early.
Grab that PB and the missile, plus get the missile under the Rio room, and the one where you need to bomb the zip line and bomb jump/ball jump (depending on whether you get it before Hi-Jump or not) and the only item you'd have to come back for would be the missile in the acid in Kraid. That would easily be a couple minutes shaved right there.  Twisted Evil

? In my 100% single segments (which suck compared to these peoples') I clear out Kraid except for that one item next to the entrance, by the stupid zipline I always HBJ.

I normally leave 3 missiles in there, along with the PB and missile in Norfair.
Namely since I have to run back to Norfair anyway, the one in the room with the zipline you need to be in morph ball mode for I wait until then since its easier (and a bit faster) to get at it with space jump, plus the room is on the way.
I wait on the one below the rio room since I save a shine coming out of the room, which I use to rocket through the tunnel to Norfair.
