Seems that this guys wants to make a profit from SDA and M2k2 without asking anyone if he can use the files downloaded... :|

He has this "DVD" up for auction about 8 times in a row. And he lazy just bunged them onto a normal DVD, in their original DivX state. Maybe Nate and/or Radix should have a word with this guy as there's not even ANY credit for your sites or the speedrunners who made the runs.

Message: This individual is trying to sell unauthorised copies of Speed Runs found at Speed Demos Archive (http://www.speeddemosarchive.com/). The only legitimate source of DVDs containing Speed Runs featured at Speed Demos Archive can be found at http://dvd.metroid2002.com/. As a representative of Speed Demos Archive, I can assure you that neither Speed Demos Archive nor the authors of the Speed Runs (the copyright holders) authorised the creation of these items. Please end these auctions (there are more than the provided ten; he or she is selling more than ten copies) before more eBayers are deceived.

it looks like that if this kind of thing continues, i can also take them down via ebay's vero programme, which i'm pretty confident they'll respond to, because, like any good massive corporation, they're paranoid about copyright law and the like.

btw, mills, thank you so much. you've saved the day again.

I try my best ;)

Besides, why should he get away without asking for permission when I had to ask everyone for it? ;) :P
Well Nate it must be a sign we're getting popular when people try to rip us off.
Wow... what a bad person that is.
I('d) like to watch (some MP3 runs)
Hopefully they'll figure out you mean unauthorized.
It's a british spelling... worked for a british company for 2 years... that took a while to get used to  Wink
i'm pretty sure she knows ... go getting patronized by the world's best. thanks for the clarification though.

Oh, didn't know that's how the word was spelled over there.
What luck, there's french fry stuck in my beard.
I didn't either...  I knew about the meaningless u's added to some words, but I wasn't aware that the z's and s's are sometimes changed...
How about reversing e's and r's? Or adding an extra i in aluminum? ;)

The changes were made by Webster in 1828, purportedly to make words more "phonetic", but more likely as a demonstration of independence. We didn't add anything or take anything away - you lot did.

Interesting. You say Webster changed the words, then you say 'you lot' did...
Well, by "you lot did" I mean America as a whole adopted his changes. (I'm English, just in case you didn't realise [realize ? :P] that.)
