I herd it was pretty good overall.  I mean I've played it before, but for like ten min. because it was my friend's. However I still don't know if I should get it or not. Plus I remember it enough to think that it was fun ad everything, but what's the general Metroid fan have to say?

So, I came here. What do you guys think I should do?

While it may not stack up to the other metroid games (in others' opinions), it is still a great game and worth your time.

Most fucking definatly get it, Fusion is a really really good game. I know all Metroids tend to be awesome but this one's just golden, probably my second favorite Metroid game. (after Super of course;) )

Yeah, it's a great game.  It's a lot more linear than the other Metroid games, but you can still thoroughly enjoy the game.

Don't expect a lot of metroid, and by that I mean exploration, out of it. But it's definitely still a great game.

ok, thanks for the suggestions and responses.  I'm guessing it's a pretty popular metroid game.  After reading about Fusion on the main Metroid websites and hearing the goods things people have said, I might just get it. But I'm still not taking everyone's word for it.

by the way, how low is the price now for the average gameboy advance game pak?  I think last year a used one was in the 5-8 dollar range (if I'm wrong, correct).

5-8? That's quite cheap. Last year I looked for Return of Samus and it got priced at $15. Naturally, I didn't buy it. If you can find it for less than that, it's probably a good idea to pick it up.

oh yea, duh. Now that I think about it, gameboy advance games are not that cheap.  I must be thinking of gameboy color games or something.

However, some USED DS games can be as low as 7-10 dollars ya know.  I went to Game Stop like 2 months ago and an ATV racing game for DS was listed for $7.99

but I don't know for sure about gameboy advance game prices. I should look it up.

That low price might be because it's an ATV racing game.  Most used DS games that are any good are at the very least $15. 

Rare GBA games are somewhat the same as, if not more than the cheaper used DS games.  I managed to find the Zelda LttP/4S game for $15.  Then the game came out on the VC a few months later...

you still got 4S for $7 and that isn't on VC (lttp is $8).

i got it when it was brand new. never finished it (lol)

once i saw an used fusion copy that was $20. i wonder why the game never made it to player's choice.

It occurs to me that a game does not reach Players' Choice status by having sequence breaking and bomb jumping... It's more like sales, and probably more than 90% of Nintendo's clientèle don't care about stuff like that. ;)

fusion sold good. almost 1 million in the US.

makes it more puzzling that it didn't reach player's choice.

Maybe they figured that their target audience had already taken up the game, and thought that a re-distribution of the game wasn't economically viable... Or they're doofus-jerk fatheads.  Take your pick.

And yeah, I'd love to play 4S, but the thing is... there's no one to play it with!  Kinda sucks that you NEED other people to even play the game a little bit.  Did you need the GBA to play the GC 4SA, or could you use a GC controller?  I hated that dumb GBA-GC link thing...

you could use the gc controller only in 1p mode. mutiplayer required the gba. it was fun when i could play with 3-4 players (only played like once with 4 players and like 3 times with 3 players. when i played with 4 is when i beat the game the first time. it was worth it despite all the problems)

It was the game that got me hooked on metroid (thanks to my friend). It is one of the best games for the gameboy too. It is a must buy for a metroid fan.

same here (but i got it on my own)

it's also one of the few metroid games that made me sweat and curse because i thought it was "impossible" to beat some bosses.

edit: now i took the job of getting the page breaks hmm...

It was that stupid spider-thing that gives you the Space Jump that pissed me off the most.  That and the underground TRO run from the SA-X.
