"Prime" is just a fancy way of saying "Made in America/Europe".

I know this isn't a big deal, but I wanted to capitalize on the possible humor of speculating on whether or not it's America's fault that the Chozo are extinct now, at least on Tallon IV.

I'm pretty sure the chozo have been dead since after samus was raised. Why would samus have to hunt for powerups from statues if the chozo were alive and could give her stuff to help her?

I don't know if someone already answered this, but the game probably does have metroids in a sense, they're called quadtroids. In the scan it doesn't say they have metroid DNA but when you look up close at them they have a metroid type head.  Judging by the name and appearance I'm guessing the Quadtroids are genetically engineered Metroids. (The scan does say that they are genetically engineered creatures)

Just saying because on the first page of this topic this game has no Metroids.

Also I doubt all Metroids are dead as I am guessing the space pirates have a few of them, and at the end of Super they had seemingly been able to clone other fully developed Metroids. (As there is no other way that the Metroids could have appeared.)  And if those Metroids had just survived the last explosion on Zebes, then at least the space pirates still have mochtroids :/.
Yeah i'm pretty sure metroids aren't dead because there in echoes. but metroid probly aren't in this galaxy/universe/solar system or whatever..
Where there are Space Pirates, there are Metroids.  Simple as that really.  As fast as they can clone those things, the Pirates are always going to have extras.  But if all the Pirates were killed when Zebes exploded... well that was just their HQ.  Heck I don't know.  How many planets does Samus have to destroy before she can stop thinking about Metroids?

Anyway, I'm not upset about there being no Metroids in Hunters.  Like others have said, not ever mission Samus goes on has Metroids.

Sylux too though, considering that his suit is supposedly stolen Federation materialz, as well as his weapon, which is apparently a Fed. prototype.

I guess I just hope they don't find something that works for the series and stick to it. That would be bad.

I bet if Nintendo runs out of ideas (like it has and made games like odama ball) They will probably make Metroid Sylux or something, maybe Metroid Weavel?

Quadtroids were in Super as well, weren't they? I know there at least was something very similar to them.

Super Metroid had "mocktroids", but it had nothing that resembled "quadtroids".

They also don't fit into any of the typical SR388 metroid evolutions, nor any Phazon based metroid evolution.

I don't remember what Mochtroids looked like, but they resemble Metroids no? Aren't the Petrasyl's from Hunters kinda the same?
