i don't think this should be called a real metroid game

I've got a few points:

1. Metroid has always been with samus aran and no one else.

2. Metroid has never been with online ok i understand that some people might like that but samus works alone.

3. There are other bounty hunters wtf? metroid is about samus not some stupid last survivors or any other creatures.

So this is just a multiplayer game with the name metroid but it is nothing like a metroid game.

You only play as Samus, except in Multiplayer. In single player, you play only as Samus, defending yourself against the other bounty hunters, as well as other enemies (Space Pirates for all we know) while trying to get your hands on the ancient thingies.

Seems focused around Samus if you ask me.

Don't worry, I think they just phrased it differently. "Other boundy hunters" probably means that there will be involving multiplying Dark Samus' that came from <i>another</i> phazon astroid.

1. Metroid has also always been in 2D with Samus and no one else. Whoops, they started a new series that's in 3D. Whoops, in Fusion Samus didn't work alone. Straying a bit from the original concept is never a bad thing.

2. Samus sometimes works alone, but she always has enemies to work [u]against/u]. The online thing will most likely be mainly deathmatches. It IS an FPS after all, and there are several playable characters. You've read the (incredibly cheezy and hate-worthy) storyline on the official site, I hope?

3. It still IS about Samus. If you want it to be about nothing but Samus you must've hated both Prime games, because those were very much about the GF marines and the Chozo/Luminoth as well.

4. Yes, it's just a multiplayer FPS under the Metroid name, with some Metroid characters. Since when is that a bad thing? I sure as hell don't mind seeing familiar faces in other genres. I love Halo, and I think a Halo RTS would kick ass! I also love F-Zero and I most definitely wouldn't mind seeing an RPG in the F-Zero universe. And, I love Metroid, so I don't mind playing a game where you can move as quickly and precisely as Samus would've been able to in real life, without blocky lock-strafing and automatic aiming and other technical restrictions like that.

Although IMO i still prefer locking on than attempting to get a good aim(which is suck at.). The other point, is that this might well be worthy of a title, as long as there will be metroids in the game(otherwise it wouldnt be called metroid in the first place Rolling Eyes

). However, i think ill just leave now after this sentence and go critisize metroid pinball(pokemon pinball was ok, but metroid pinball!?).

yes the concept of using a pokéball as a pinball, and that every time you hit a character you get closer and closer to catching it. That concept is quite simple. How Nintendo could have used the morph ball as a pinball is by far the most strangest concept ever. And think of all the comical ideas: to prevent yourself from falling, you bomb jump up to the area where you can get a ton of points, then powerbomb the whole place to hell and get a jack pot. Or even using the spiderball to keep oneself from going into that slot between the flippers. And the boost ball to crank the point meter all the way up.

Hold on, maybe metroid pinball is more of a "lets cheat our way to 1,000,000 points using only the powerbomb, boost ball and spider ball."

I don't like Metroid Pinball at all , IMO . But i think Nintendo secretly put sublimital messages like : Buy more Metroid Games. Get more Nintendo products or something like that :P
