Just as a note, I'd like to say that I've already bought the game. I've bought every Metroid game that's come out within a couple weeks of their release.

I'm trying to use it to watch some of the runs, like Pekod's or the one hosted here on M2K2. However, while the game runs fine graphically, the sound quality could not possibly be worse. It is scratchy, misses, hisses, skips; in general it sounds like a harpy's grandmother cursing me in her native tongue. I can barely hear anything that resembles Metroid at all. At first, it was interfering with the graphics, but checking "use old synchronization" seems to have fixed that right up. I just cannot figure out what (if anything) I can do to clear up the sound quality.

Oh, and it is version 1.6a. Thanks in advance for any help.

Oh good lord, nevermind...  Embarassed

I forgot that, in my quest to actually run Septerra Core on one of my PCs (an effort that has been defeated by their "wonderful" engine ever since this game's been released), I had turned my sound hardware acceleration all the way down. Gee, could that have been the culprit...?  Rolling Eyes

Thanks anyways, I've got everything up and running now.
Hah!  Reminds me of the time I thought my sound card died, but it turned out that the volume wheel on my keyboard was turned down :x  So, don't feel bad now :P
