I made some videos during a recent 1% run on Metroid: Fusion hoping to give people insight on how to go about all the boss battles.
Don't take this as self-promotion, because it's not, just sharing a "video-tutorial" if you wish to call it, with Fusion fanboys. >>;
Also, there's a couple screw-ups I could redo eventually (on the 3 hardest bosses imo, coincidentally -.-)

Part 01: (Bosses 1-7)

Part 02: (Bosses 8-11)

Part 03: (Bosses 12-14 with countdown + ending)

If I broke any rules, feel free to lock/move/delete the thread.  .__.

Thread title:
Speedrunner
This is nice example why peoples have too much trouble beat 1% single segment run laugh new

You died three time against 3 hardest fights in the game.
I look forward what Biospark say with this.
Very nice, it's really amazing you went through all the trouble to make these demonstrations, thank you. :)
Yes yes, I think I'll redo the entire thing without dying/getting hurt next time around >>;

MASTER-88: I have lots of respect for you, nice job on those 1% speedruns ^__^
Sorry, I didn't bother watching all of them. I assume you use any safe spots that the bosses have, which I should know most of them. They aren't helpful for me because I use the fastest and safest methods that I found on my own for the single-segment (which I should be working next, going for :52). Here are some examples of mine, though.

The first two said they're "no longer available," and the third one didn't look like what I would call safe with the eyeguy... But, hey, you're better than me, so you get to decide what's safe!

Regarding Distort's videos, I'd say you should work on finding some faster strategies. It's generally best to save a missile for the Arachnus Core-X, use charge beam shots on Zazabi and Serris, and missiles on BOX; and practice double Core-X shots because they'll save like half a minute on each one. For other ideas, I recommend watching... basically every speedrun in SDA, as well as both technical demos here.
Fixed the first two.
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I wish there was a faster method for Nightmare... He's always been my worst deterrent for a 1% run; I just can't seem to maintain a good strategy for long enough to beat him because it's just too long a fight for me. My method of circling around him using constant R-fired charge shots is easy to maintain, though; it's just hard to get him into the right pattern.

I seem to remember Ridley being a very quick battle by just using the charge beam a lot. Maybe that's just bad memory, though; missiles may do less damage, but it still takes me ca. 100 when I just go crazy with them.

I'd be interested in seeing some different methods for Yakuza.
While we're on the subject of safe spots and such, would somebody mind telling me or making a drawing showing Serris's movement pattern?  I need to do that faster.  Another thing: I've noticed that for the Core-X part of Serris's fight, it's easier to do underwater, for some odd reason.
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
From what I remember, Serris comes up from one of three spots underwater: far left, middle, and far right. It has two different attacks for the sides (four if you count direction change) and one from the middle. Side attacks are going straight across the platforms or diving between each one and circling back over the top. From the middle, it will dive left or right towards the ceiling.

As for safe spots, above the water, there aren't any. The closest thing to one there is is to go towards the end of the ladder at the top and drop down when it goes between the platforms.

Again, this is all from what I remember, so I probably forgot a thing or two. Or eight. Whatever.
What I was expecting was something like "First he goes this way, then that way.  Stand over there, and jump up when he comes by.  Shoot at him over there, then over there after that.", or something.  Could you do that for me?
Actually, from what I know, his movements are pretty much random. I'll do some looking into it.
Oke'.  Thanks.
Oy, thanks for the input, although I wasn't really aiming for "omgtehbestspeedrunevar" material ;P
As for Serris, I'm almost positive that his path is as random as a GBA game can get.
Although I'm sure after hundreds or possibly thousands of loops you could probably pick out a pattern if you really wanted to, due to the limits of true randomization via GBA.

BioSpark:
You make Nightmare seem so easy .__.
Is there a pattern to his movements in it's maskless phase, or does it move accordingly based on your coordinates in the room?
I've never been able to figure it out, and the direct tackles when I'm floating around behind him right after it touches the ladder always send me to oblivion.
On another note (specifically the Ridley safespot and SA-X freeze exploit):
After seeing those safe spots, it makes me wonder what a non-safespotted boss run would turn out to be.
It makes me want to try these guys out with limitted mid-air jumps or something, just for an extra challenge.

Lol, I still have to check that. I'm pretty busy now though.

Edit: I would highly doubt there'd be a pattern thousands of loops long. I know for sure from my previous tasing that serris has some sort of patten. I'm approaching serris soon in my new tas, so I'll figure it out then.

He's semi-random, based on where you are in the room. He'll usually move a couple of different ways depending on where you are, though sometimes he'll do something unexpected and run right into you. I can't really give you much advice, I really can only avoid him based on experience.
