Read the post. Doesn't it seem a bit...off?
Yes, if by off means you fell off your rocker 'cuz you're so stupid! (0)
Yes, I think it's very strange indeed. (2)
Yes, but so do a lot of things in most video games. (6)
What are you talking about? There's a shaft leading right to where you start connected to where the ship is. (8)
Yes, and for one reason or another, I just wet myself. (1)

In the opening sequence, Samus lands in Crateria, and you hear her jump out and run away. Next thing you know, she's inside Brinstar with 99 health, no missiles of any kind, no abilities except for shooting, crouching, aiming, jumping, and wall jumping.

No, fourth option. The rock must have fallen when brinstar worm attacks or something. It actually makes sense that she would go there, since tourian is blocked by a green hatch, and the door to the norfair elevator has the chozo block in front of it. It's a very nice touch, since you can even see that the rock has fallen later.
Yeah I always thought it was a tad weird since there are several Speed Booster blocks right to the left of the ship. Doesn't look to me like they weren't there all the time.
lol no way
Seems to me MetalRidley is right. The look all crumbled and broken. I would have liked it more though, had it shown her run left, through the passage, then have it fall, and her run through the door. Then the text would be displayed. Oh well.
I prefer the way it is, you get a some fun out of tracing her steps at the beginning once you get the power bombs.

Okay, that makes sense. I still think it's weird that the walls will tell you what its weakness is if you bomb it.
What would you prefer? Barraging every wall with missiles in case you missed a block? It's just sensible, and a cool gameplay tool.

Yeah, that's very true. It would suck otherwise.
