'Sup, i'm new, and the first question i always ask on boards is:  How many posts does it take to achieve each of the status titles?  I don't know why, but I just like to know how many.

Well, we try to discourage people from actually going out of their way to get these, but you asked nice so I'll tell you.

0 Posts - Metroid Larva
25 Posts - Alpha Metroid
50 Posts - Gamma Metroid
100 Posts - Zeta Metroid
200 Posts - Omega Metroid
500 Posts - Metroid Prime
Moderator or Administrator - Custom title

Again though, going out of your way to get these, or bashing people on the basis of rank is, in my opinion, a very serious offence and will have drastic reprocutions, including bans and in extreme cases revoking all non-custom ranks. So use them responsibly.

You seem like a stand-up fellow though. Welcome to the forum.

I was kinda curious as well, i figured that 100 was zeta, but we don't even have any metroid primes yet, do we?

Some other people are getting up there though. We'll likely have a Metroid Prime by the end of the month.

If you're curious about how many posts everyone has, you can check the memberlist or statistics. I agree with Toozins estimation, I think Yoshi will hit 500 in around a month and me soon afterwards if we continue posting at our current rates.

Custom titles aren't that big of a deal. Have you guys ever though about little metroids for rank images? And maybe like a big one for the moderators and admins?

But I like the names and this board so far. So I guess you're doing something right :P

Thanks for the info.  These seem like cool boards, so I might hang out here for awhile.  And don't worry, I'm not one to post single-worders or stuff like that to drive post count up, and I despise the anti-newb sentiment present on so many boards.  I just like the status titles for some reason.

Newb: n.  1- One who is new to a particular game or board.  2- One that sincerely needs help

n00b: n.  1- One who posts obnoxious things for the sake of trolling, flaming, or just being stupid (ie. "OMG WTF SAMIS IZ TEH GURL LOLOLOLOLOL?!?!).  2- One to be shunned, lest they change their ways.

Okay, so this only really applies to big communities, like GameFAQs or *shudder* IGN, but still....
