Anyone here play Heroes of Might and Magic? IMO, it's one of the best PC game series' ever made.
This thread is just to see who plays it (if anyone) and if you do, what's your favourite of the four games?
Thread title:
Heroes 3 "complete" (AKA: all expansions) is my fave.  Its also one of my fave computer games of all time, without a doubt.  I' spent hours upon hours upon hours on a single mission.  espicially multiplayer, those things lasted days upon days of entertainment.  I loved the game to death.  I still play it now and again.

Its amazing just how cheap the series was before 3DO went bankrupt, it turned into the absolute best $20 buy i have ever seen in my life. (Heroes 1, + heroes 2 + heroes 3 + 2 expansions, all for $20)

I tried Heroes 4, but it just lost some of the simplicity that made heroes 3 so damn entertaining.  It got overly complicated with movement and terrain and such.

I completely agree with you Syl. Heroes III is the best...I play Heroes IV often, but it lost some of the "magic" that the previous games had.
I liked Heroes 2 the best, probably because it was the first I played, 3 seemed overly complex to me and I preferred the graphics in 2 more... I guess that's just me though.
I('d) like to watch (some MP3 runs)
What about normal Might and Magic?  :?
Never played it, but going by pure fun factor in hotseat multiplayer, the Heroes series is better. Though I have no real basis for that statement.

I have played normal Might and Magic, and I personally like Heroes better. Maybe because Heroes is what I grew up on and I played MaM afterwards.

I agree with absolutely everything said in this post.
I dabbled in Heroes 2 some but I hated it. Something about slowness and imbalance just drove me up the wall (peasants... wtf???). Then my friend gave me Heroes 3 and I expected to suck just the same. Well, I've been playing it ever since. :D Never has a sequel turned me so well. (maybe Starcraft but that's not technically a sequel)

Heroes 2 is my favourite of 'em all (Heroes 3 had a better editor, though). 600 skeletons pack a nasty punch.
If they get hit they also take a nasty punch...
Black Dragons ruled that game.
yeah, i really had fun with ... i think it was probably heroes iii. that was a long time ago, though, and less important historically, so i tend to forget i ever played it.

I know what you mean, Nate. My brother and I used to always wake up around six in the morning in the summer just to play that wonderful game.
