HELP! Must...get out of....Norfair....w/o....Ice Beam!!!

I MUST get out of Norfair without the Ice Beam, but no matter how many times I try, I CANNOT accomplish this! Any tips? Or is it possible?

yes, but I don't have the Varia nor the Speed Booster, and I cannot get through that one room without the Booster where you hafta jump with a boostey after clearing away the debris.

I have done that. I only made it 'till tourian. I don't know what room your talking about.

u know what u need? u need to look at some of the sequence breaking movies, and find a good 15% run guide somewhere. it helps a lot for what ur trying to do to get the varia right after bombs, though that is difficult, but i thought it was harder getting out of norfair without the ice beam or the varia. whatever works for u.

I never have trouble separating MMORPG talk and Board talk.
As an example, on boards I don't say: brb, afk or any other such thing. Although it might be because you never say anything like that on boards, but that's besides the point, or something...

Oh, and why would you want to leave Norfair without Ice Beam?

It could be for the wave beam without Ice thing, although I could be wrong.

Hahahaha, that made me laugh. Yeah it is. So unless he's trying to do like 15% and doesn't realize that Ice Beam is required, there's no reason. Unless he just wants to do Kraid without it or something... whatever.

well it might be for the wave beam. He could be trying to go complete Kraid for Speed boost to make it easier to get to the wave beam.

Actually I like defying games as much as possible. I have beaten the game w/o PBs, Speed Booster, uh........*thinks* Wave Beam, gotten through til Tourian w/o Ice Beam, gotten through game w/o Varia, gotten through game w/o Screw attack, yeah...stuff....

In case you didn't know, it's impossible to skip the Ice Beam completely. You'll get locked in Tourian with a crapload of crazy Metroids and die.
