I'm working on a 100% Run on Normal. I was gonna do hard but...I died before leaving the first room...shut up. Anyways, I'm in Ridley, and I need to get a few missile tanks. There's that part where you have to speed boost, charge, then go a bit, and release. But I never can hold the charge long enough. Help please. It's Missile Tank 35 in the GameFAQs list. Oh, and I'm following Devin Morgan's walkthrough. I know there's a 100% Speed Run Guide, but I like Devin's guides so I'm using that. Well, until then, I'll just play Golden Sun. Fun game.

Well, I don't surf GameFAQs much, so I don't know which one you're talking about...
Tank 35 (MT35)
Location: Ridley
Head to the map room. But before you do, as soon as you land on the third
platform of pipes shoot up. Up above is a platform that gives you just enough
space to do a speed boost. First off we need to clear the way. Clear any fire
balls or ice balls that may cling to the ceiling of that vent up above. Second
open the door. Now we are ready. This may get a bit tricky but it works. And
also notice the ramp, we will need that to break a floor ahead. Oh and believe
me this is quite long and tedious.

Skills: Speed Booster, patience

How to get: First off get up into the vent that we just opened. Go all the way
to the end. Now start running towards the direction of the door leading to the
map room. As soon as you get to the edge, drop down and run towards the map
room. Try your best to get to that ramp with a charge still on. Once you land
on the ramp make sure you're at the end of the ramp or else you won't run on
the ramp instead you will do a straight shoulder tackle.. Now Do a shoulder
tackle up the ramp and as soon as you enter the map room shoot like a mad man
(or samus in this matter). You will open another door, when you enter the next
room you will break through the floor and fall in some lava.

Don't worry this is the safe stuff. When you drop down put your back against
the wall shoot the door amd start to run in. Once you reach the end of the
hallway  duck down to keep your charge inch yourself a little bit more to the
end and jump up. You will smash through a small ceiling. Quickly Hold right and
role into the hole.

Now becareful because there are collapsable floors. Roll right and keep
holding the right d-pad and you will fall on another platform. Now the small
Square ahead of you is a semi-collapsable block. It will take a few moments to
break so hurry up and roll on and jump up to the ledge above. Now we're back
into a ball about to roll down. Not just yet, be ready to go back to regular
form and hang off the ledge. Now aim right and shoot a rocket at the small
block. Roll into the ducts ahead. Bomb the blue block to reveal that you need
to shoot it with rockets. This is where it gets complicated.

You will see a missile tank in front of you but don't get that right now.

First off above that first missile block is a shootable floor what you need to
do is roll toward the collapsable blocks(I suggest you inch yourself towards
the end of the vent to see where it starts so you can get ready. Now as you
start falling down the collapsable blocks you need to shoot at the missile
block while holding left. When you get to the near bottom you will latch onto
an edge. Quickly grab yourself up. Now the spot where you will need to shoot
the missile block is another semi-collapsable floor.

Quickly roll on it, change back to regular form, aim up with a rocket and fire,
quickly jump and latch on to the edge. Now the rest is easy, shoot another
rocket up to destroy another block and one more for your missile tank. Jump up
there and grab them.

? this one ?
Ya, that's it. I'm having trouble with the Speed Boost part in the beggining. Any tips?
Just practice. Shinesparks are kinda hard at first, but with work the process of charging and boosting will become second nature.

But I can't promise you won't cry when it becomes time to grab the missile tanks on the right side of Ridley, even when you've mastered them...  Crying or Very sad
