Mother Brain was the Chozo equivalent of an AU. Mother Brain came first but the AUs are almost exactly the same.

just mere hype. it was like zelda TP's hype where the story was supposed to be the bridge to tie in all games together going by PR speak but in the end it ended fucking up even more what was already fucked up.

I belive mother brain is an Aurora Unit. The chozo and Gfed may have built the mother together, and while the chozo named her "Mother Brain" The Federation could have codenamed the project "Aurora"

the Chozo probably saw coming that the federation was going to get corrupted eventually and never worked together with them.

i believe the feds reverse-engineered samus' suit and weapons by the time Fusion came so they were able to send her upgrades and stuff.

Somewhat. It's not explicity a type of AU, but it was built with Federation knowledge aiding the Chozo.

the AUs were probably based on Mother Brain and they made them differently and less capable to avoid another MB-like incident. after all, Mother Brain had all the knowledge inside her and the AUs just know about the areas they're in and have a network to communicate among themselves because none have access to all information freely.
